I can'ty seem to get the cheats to work. I have locked Worldbuilder and I am losing, so I thought I might as well try out the cheats.
Don't know what I am doing wrong. can somebody please help me. I am playing Civ 4 Beyond the sword. And it's in a already saved game I am trying to use the cheat codes.

I don't normally cheat, but I am not winning the game and I have locked access to the Worldbuilder. So I thought I might as well try out the cheatcodes. But it doesn't work. I did change CheatCode = 0 to CheatCode = chipotle, and pressed CTRL + ALT and then click on the ~ button, but nothign comes up.
Something confuse me (okay I do admit I am not good at all at these computer things).. Do I have to click on something special when it says [CTRL] and not just CTRL, or do I just click on the CTRL-button?
And what is the Game.toggleDebugMode thing?. how do I enable it?

I hope somebody can explain these cheats in a very..hm...simple way for me.

If you have ticked "lock modified assets" (I'd say this is what you did when you said you locked the worldbuilder), then no cheat, nothing.

oh. but I don't see the point in using cheat codes if I can use the worldbuilder. because one of the cheats is that I can use worldbuilder even though I have locked it (locked modified assets)

cheat codes can be used in game while playing. For the world builder, you have to enter it and exit the game. They're just more practical.

I know that, maybe I just explained myself wrongly. I don't really like the Worldbuilder, so I locked modifieds assets. but now I regret doing that since I am not doing too good as Rome, and I want to sue cheat codes to get cash. But can I only use cheat codes if I don't lock the possibility to use Worldbuilder?

I didn't say 'hate'. that's a very strong word which I try not to use.
The reason why I dislike it is because it reveals too much (the whole map and recources) and it's too easy to just add some more units or something.
