well is been a while since i made an scenario, so here it is, the long anticipated first scenario of my serie RED DAWN

This scenario starts on a "what if".
As stalin dies 5 months after the end of WW2, a short revolution happens in the USSR, the people demanded a better govt. and a less crude way of life, they got what they wanted, their new premier allowed free-elections in the WW2 liberated nations, changed the economy and instead of concentration on the military he created a govt that gave the people more luxuries, and consumer goods.
International relations w/ the US and europe where very good, the cold war never happened, everything seemed fine..........for 15 years..........in 1981 a new premier came, but he was diferent, he started building a grand red army, and made a large nuclear arsenal the largest in the world by far.......all in secret.......and here is where the scenario begins.........

Dec 25 3:00 AM Moscow Time.
Soviet forces in a allience w/ the Arabs declared war and invaded the european nations, the Alled gvts collapsed into anarchy of the news, the heads of state of Europe moved to London as it seemed the safest place, the europeans faced many challanges, as not only they were about to face the largest invasion force in history, the US trying to stay away until they could build a nuclear arsenal as powerful as the soviets decided to stay isolated, but there were also good news, a small franch force managed to capture a city in N. Africa, tied w/ the only European oil supply, also, the US and canada just like in WW2 sent to the allies fresh toops and suplys, plus the atlantic fleet.

Comrade! invade and destroy capitalism! liberate them from their oppresors!..........and when you have finshed them......destroy the arabs too.......we have also managed to get a spy in London, it will help get info. GOOD LUCK!

This sounds like some C&C Red Alert Game, but I have wanted to see a scenario of a societ invasion of europe for a long time, hope its good:) :confused:

i am also thinkng of making an asia-war and soviet invsion of the US scenario but not until PTW

My Winzips not working. It's not the scenarios fault but I can't seem to get Winzip to work right.

I was just thinking of making a scenario like this on my map (though I should say that I didn't make it and am only refering to it as mine 'cause I don't know who made it); looks like you beat me to it.

One thing though:
I prefer it if the countries are seperate as then you can prey on them one at a time.

well phoenix, i would had done that.......but is like playing a WW2 scenario, making it more difficult, and well the AI is unpredictable as they could join u etc etc, but if there had been a soviet invasion there would had probably been an alliance.

i am working on the allied version...........expect it b4 the end of the week.

including the US can often lead to a smaller and so less detailed and less fun map/game as the map would have to be so large.

BTW - I voted that it was very good it would have been one of the best for me but i love huge maps.

i dont like to big maps, i think they are ok, but they are so big sometimes it takes a long time to move untis and stuff, plus it woudl had taken me a loooooonger time to make the scenario. plus i have to look for a possible map, i dont make my own maps, and not all are perfect for what i am thinking of

tctatheel7, a couple of otehr people said they had a similar problm but it worked, u sure u placed it on ur saved games folder, not the scenario one?

The senario was great, I really enjoyed playing it. By the way a senario about the war of 1812 would be sweet.

oh yeah i have created a world of today scenario which took me a very long time. Its very detailed and looks fun. Very good scenario, with Iraq etc in it. I wont release it though. U want me to email it to you stalin?

Stalin, you dont really have to make one, you can platy the scenarios on PTW.

Very enjoyable.
Great idea having it as a saved game.

Only one minor glitch.
I rush built the Seti wonder. After being told it was complete, I closed the window and the game closed down.
Tried it again and this time viewed it first. No problems.

Actually, yes. I killed that arsehole (Saddam Hussien) early and cornered the world's market, It was really fun!

I have not played as the Europeans as yet.

Just wiped them out and about to destroy the Arabs with my now massive army.
I also have very high culture and zillions of workers rushing around like headless chooks.

to maximise possible historic accurasy while continuing the "october fury" series, i am starting an asian front version, and i was wondering......would it be ok to add vietnam to the communist allies? or would they join japan, s korea, taiwan etc?

Vietnam has been Communist since 1975, and North Vietnam has been since 1954. Though since 1979, Chinese-Vietnamese relations have not been very good.

so would they have joined china in an major offensive? or would they side the japanese, and otehr democracys? ho chi minh was sympatetic to the US maybe in the scenario and following the story could make him an allied nation

After I nuked the border cities and rolled in,it became a little more difficult,but not much,as I constantly nuked the cities next on the way.I thought it was way too easy,when in 1 turn 2 cities flippped back and the Allies retook Warsaw and Budapest.Luckily the USSR production is gigantic for modern armour and ICBMs,so I still marched forward,but more slowly.It still was a hard fight as my navy had been defeated (submarines were totally useless,they ALL got sunk easily).Culture flipping annoyed me,but finally I invaded Britain and Ireland (which is almost only desert now).After a few turns I saw the chance:1/2 of the Arab army was near Hamburg,so I nuked it.Took their European cities (Belfast and Cartagena) and began marching once again,but they're putting up much more resistance than I expected.So far I've only taken Istanbul,though I nuked almost all their cities at least once.

I don't see how Ho Chi Minh was sympathetic to the USA when the USA fought against his making all of Vietnam Communist.

I'd probably put Vietnam with the Communists though, as in the event of war, they'd probably want to be on the Soviet Union's side.

i kept it like this to ensure european cooperation.....otherwise u would get them fighting each other

...or mabye you should play my version of a soviet invasion. I just put it up and it looks pretty cool in my opinion. (this is not a propaganda effort, in my opinion your scenario is better for bieng a modern Soviet invasion, while my scenario is more alternate WW2)
