At random points in each Civ3 game i play i get an error "Civilization3 caused an invalid page fault in module Civilization3.exe at 0167:0046027e" This error occurs in the exact same spot in each individual game and random spots during each whole game i play. I have found no solution myself (i.e reinstalling, patching, and tech support hasnt answered my cries).
someone please help a desperate man in his time of need ;)

Thanks

Maybe your computer is underpowered. If you post your specs we may be able to help better

In the meantime just save after each turn.

What version (patch) are you using?
At what part of the turn does the game crash?

I used to get this happening frequently when the game was cycling through my cities at the start of each turn. What appeared to be causing it (IIRC) was a city on the cusp of going in to civil disorder.

If this is happening to you, watch what cities the game sucessfully checks (it checks them in the same order they are built - ie the same order as on the "goto city" screen) before it crashes. After it crashes, go through the next few cities after the last successfully completed one. Make sure they're all happy.....

Other than that, make sure you are playing with V1.29f (the bug I mentioned above went away following that...) :)

I used to have the same problem, after installation of 1.29f the problem almost disappeared. And make sure Autosave is turned on.

Yes, the important thing to do is to try to isolaste the problem and work out when precisely it is happening. That will give a better idea of what is causing the problem.

How far do you usually get before it crashes
