PolyCast is a bi-weekly audio production in an ongoing effort to give the Civ community an interactive voice on game strategy; it has one more episode to be released as its season finale, a composite of archived segments. Sibling show ModCast (http://thepolycast.net/modcast) focuses on Civ modding and RevCast (http://thepolycast.net/revcast) focuses on Civilization: Revolution. All three shows have been renewed for a return to production in 2010 which are to be its fourth, third and second seasons respectively.

As always, enjoy.

I updated my sig to allow more access to polycast (just find one of my 11k+ posts :p).

Civ V rumors are always fun. And civ IV > most games, I don't care what anyone else says...at least not much ;).

Really a fun episode to listen to, Peggle should never have been allowed to compete against Civilization. They are two very different genres and genres shouldn't compete it's an unfair comparison.

There's no doubt it's problematic, where even if the criteria could be balanced, biases and preferences in the judges abound. Even when it's by popular vote, as opposed to a small group of 'experts', it's an inevitable popularity contest to be sure.

Yeah like for example I think Baldur's Gate 2 is the best RPG game out there but comparing it to Civ IV is like comparing Apples to Oranges. Both are great fruits/games but their not the same thing, sometimes you'll be in the mood for one or the other. Which is why I bemoan the death of the Adventure game genre. It's just one step closer to ALL games being FPS only.

Yeah I gotta say until we get a CiV5 or some other Civ game (the facebook one does not count :-P ) the 3.19 is the highlight of this year. No longer having to get the CD to play!
