Played GOTM 6 for practice on space race and to my surprise I tied Beard Rinker for his fastest space victory in 1615 AD. I think GOTM 6 was with patch 1.17, and I used 1.29. I think 1.29 lessened corruption, but im not sure. Anyone know if this or any other change from 1.29 gave me an advantage and to what extend it would have helped?

On that type of game (Warlord/Spacerace), I don't think the changes affected the date much at all.

I don't know exactly how much the changes would affect it, but going from 1.17f to 1.29f, you have lessened corruption for commercial civs (which India is), and now the human is the one affected (is helped on Chieftain-Warlord) in researching capabilities, instead of in 1.17 and most other patches that would handicap or help the AI.

So this could make a difference in how quick you can learn the first few techs and get to libraries and universities sooner, but once you learn techs every 4 turns, then it wouldn't make a difference.
