Barbecue sauce is the best thing to put on anything. Fries, on burgers, fried chicken. Only thing it doesn't work on is hot dogs. That's what mustard is for. Ketchup is utterly useless.

Depends what barbecue sauce you're talking about. I absolutely hate sweets and if whatever barbecue sauce I was using was really so sweet I wouldn't be able to stand it.

I am Mormon, yes, but no, I don't live in Utah - and I hope never to have to.

But that was my point - fry sauce is something that I have seen Utah Mormons make right in front of me, and eat. Completely sober.

Barbecue sauces vary greatly, but a majority of those I've tried are much less sweet than ketchup.

Well over half the population is located just in that area between Quebec City and Windsor. Throw in BC's Lower Mainland and you easily surpass two thirds. So no, close to 90% wouldn't surprise me, though I would probable guess that it is likely in the 75-85% range.
The only major cities I can think of excluded are Calgary and Halifax, maybe Saskatoon if you consider it major.
