I do prefer mayo to tomato sauce even when sober, it adds a different taste to things. You get tomato based products with everything these days so a bit of variety is the spice of life ;)

Fries, on burgers, fried chicken. Only thing it doesn't work on is hot dogs. That's what mustard is for. Ketchup is utterly useless. say1988 Mar 09, 2010, 03:17 PM I do prefer mayo to tomato sauce even when sober, it adds a different taste to things. Ulyaoth Mar 09, 2010, 03:19 PM Tartar sauce is absolutely disgusting. And you said you don't like mayonnaise didn't you? You know tartar sauce is just mayonnaise with some crap in it don't you? BCLG100 Mar 09, 2010, 03:23 PM Tartar sauce. The only other basic option for fries. horrible, horrible stuff. Genocidicbunny Mar 09, 2010, 03:25 PM Barbecue sauce is the best thing to put on anything. Fries, on burgers, fried chicken. Only thing it doesn't work on is hot dogs. That's what mustard is for. Ketchup is utterly useless. barbeque sauce is most of the time way too damned sweet so it ruins all of those things. Plain old heinz ketchup is where its at. say1988 Mar 09, 2010, 03:25 PM And you said you don't like mayonnaise didn't you? On fries. I am a fan of mayo in general (though I actually prefer Miracle Whip). You know tartar sauce is just mayonnaise with some crap in it don't you? Sure. Just that stuff in it makes it taste good on fries. I personally would hate to have sour cream on potato chips, but mixed with union soup mix, it is great. cardgame Mar 09, 2010, 03:30 PM Ketchup is the only condiment to eat french fries with nonconformist Mar 09, 2010, 03:31 PM Mayonaise does not belong on fries. You've never been to Belgium, mate. Try it, you'll thank me. Godwynn Mar 09, 2010, 03:36 PM melted cheese on fries = delishus Ulyaoth Mar 09, 2010, 03:41 PM barbeque sauce is most of the time way too damned sweet so it ruins all of those things. Plain old heinz ketchup is where its at. Heinz ketchup is just as sweet and tasteless as well. Quackers Mar 09, 2010, 03:42 PM Curry sauce and chips yummeh BCLG100 Mar 09, 2010, 04:04 PM Curry sauce and chips yummeh Depends on the curry, gotta be the green stuff from chippies. The red stuff just never fits the bill Eran of Arcadia Mar 09, 2010, 04:16 PM What I'm getting from this is: a) This sauce sounds terrible b)only a drunk person would ever ever eat it Well, everyone I know who eats fry sauce is Mormon and (presumably) doesn't drink - at least not in front of me. Genocidicbunny Mar 09, 2010, 04:16 PM Heinz ketchup is just as sweet and tasteless as well. Thats why you throw some garlic powder, cayenne and pepper into it. And if you think BBQ sauce and ketchup are on the same level of sweet, get your tongue checked. You probably have a tumor there. Zack Mar 09, 2010, 04:19 PM Well, everyone I know who eats fry sauce is Mormon and (presumably) doesn't drink - at least not in front of me. Wait, you live in Utah right? Isn't the majority of the population in Utah Mormon? Ulyaoth Mar 09, 2010, 04:19 PM Depends what barbecue sauce you're talking about. I absolutely hate sweets and if whatever barbecue sauce I was using was really so sweet I wouldn't be able to stand it. Eran of Arcadia Mar 09, 2010, 04:22 PM Wait, you live in Utah right? Isn't the majority of the population in Utah Mormon? I am Mormon, yes, but no, I don't live in Utah - and I hope never to have to. But that was my point - fry sauce is something that I have seen Utah Mormons make right in front of me, and eat. Completely sober. MagisterCultuum Mar 09, 2010, 07:35 PM Barbecue sauces vary greatly, but a majority of those I've tried are much less sweet than ketchup. SonicTH Mar 09, 2010, 07:41 PM Just a reminder... :p New thread (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=356503) cardgame Mar 09, 2010, 07:44 PM why do we have to go to the new thread? SonicTH Mar 09, 2010, 07:49 PM why do we have to go to the new thread? Tradition works that way. :dunno: Elta Mar 10, 2010, 12:01 AM Well over half the population is located just in that area between Quebec City and Windsor. Throw in BC's Lower Mainland and you easily surpass two thirds. So no, close to 90% wouldn't surprise me, though I would probable guess that it is likely in the 75-85% range. The only major cities I can think of excluded are Calgary and Halifax, maybe Saskatoon if you consider it major. Good lookin out :goodjob: BCLG100 Mar 10, 2010, 02:33 AM why do we have to go to the new thread? Something to do with over 1000 posts means the mods normally shut the thread down. Zack Mar 10, 2010, 06:37 AM Why threads are closed after 1000 posts is beyond me. |
