I'm trying to coordinate my bombing missions using my fighters to protect the Bombers. I would also like to protect my ground troops with Fighters, so:

Can I coordinate my Fighters and Bombers so that the Fighters will protect the Bombers on bombing missions? If so, how?

Is it possible to move my troops on the ground with Fighter protection? If so, how?

Is it possible for me to find enemy fighters with my fighters and engage them? If so, how?

Just set the fighters on Air patrol and they will intercept any air units that try to atack tiles in range.

So I guess it isn't possible to fly an escort mission with my Fighters to protect my Bombers?

What I do is send my fighters in on bombing missions and use up some of the intercepts, before sending in the bombers

I use the Fighter Engagement and take out the fighters before I run in with bombers.

To find fighters you might want to use the Fighter Engagement(a buuton that the fighters have near the Air Bomb and Air Strike) on cities you can not see and you can engage them(the danger of that is that you can't see what fighters are there and ones that aren't).

you can see fighters and when they are on the ground and you have a sight on the city you can see them to if you make hole squadrons of fighters to take down an enemy fighter fleet bombers should get trough unshaved (i have not yet used that tactic but it is logical that this tactic is highly efficient my biggest bumb is snow)

on my current game i'm nearly done with finland and then i have only the mayor nations left (russia, italy, england, france, iberia, canada and the usa)

Not directly no. It sure would be nice but...

As others have mentioned, you have to get enemy fighters one by one using the Fighter Engagement mission button.
