Do to the Avatar landslide, Civ V will be in 3-D. Everyone will have to buy a $2000 3-D monitor, and wear glasses while they play.

Nope, I read it.

I wrote it down, then read it.

I believe everything I read

Also, your going to need a $10,000 computer with 4 video cards to play it.

Humorously enough I was thinking of getting one of those

Although I realize this is totally untrue, I gotta admit it would be pretty darn sweet...maybe 2020 we'll have this...;)

Multi-monitor support?!

Don't even joke about that. I've had two monitors for years, yet I can count the number of games on... like 1 finger that have actually acknowledged that multi-monitor users exist. It isn't rocket science people! Just move your old LCD aside when you buy that shiny new one. Trust me, it's awesome.

Also, every time an unit attacks another, it'll be a a stunning 5 minute animation with 3-D camera panning all around it. Combat has never been this epic.

It's been confirmed!

Civilization 5 is actually a revamp Civilization 2 featuring 3D technology. Civ2+3D = Civ5D!. That's why the final product will be actually called Civilization 5D!

This amazing game will come with a dual-boot installation of Windows 95, DirectX 11 and the amazing Jaws vs. Avatar: Third Blood movie trailer available exclusively if you preorder Civ 5D!

It also features a revolutionarly new 3D technology called "smack3D". Instead of glasses, you get a booklet with a 100 tips on how to p*** off your missus so hard that she smacks you into 3D vision!

If a 3D moniter and necessary computer steps were cheap, this would actually be pretty cool :)

it is true, TheMystic mentioned it. he said the UI stays in the top layer, the mountains poke thru...but it might get tiring on the eyes.

I heard they were adding 3D functionality to real life. I might be mistaken though.

I'm still waiting for someone to "invent" 4D displays though.

Yep it actually works just fine with Nvidia's 3D Vision. I don't see people most sitting around in 3d in Civ V for hours on end, but it is a pretty cool effect that adds to the immersion.

Maybe when Civ6 comes out, it'll have 3D support, due to cheaper hardware/easier software.

Admit it, it'd be awesome to see 3D units standing in a 3D mountain valley, and watching archers fire arrows up through the air and descending on your enemies.
