Do we want to allow duplicate leaders or not? A quick explanation:

Voting YES for duplicate leaders would mean that if we picked Willem and someone else picked Willem too, we could both keep our leaders.

Voting NO for duplicate leaders would mean that if we picked Willem and someone else picked Willem too, one of us would be forced to change (and it might be us).

I'm fine with dupe leaders. It would make things interesting facing off with a team with the same leader as us.

Everyone should be able to choose their preferred civ, without another team's choice affecting it.

Duplicate leaders is fine. I wouldn't expect our team to choose our 2nd best leader; so we can't expect the other team to do it either.

I'm all for no-one having duplicate leaders as I've said before, but with the poll as it's phrased, well, you can currently deduce my vote from the numbers (4 yes 0 no as of now).

It's all about the phrasing. :D

Duplicate Yes. Nothings as frustrating as not getting the leader/civ option you want.

Though there are more then one Financial leader.

If we spend a lot of discussion to find we have to change cuz another team choose the same... no, let dupe go.

I yoted yea. It makes sense not to have our leader choice constrained by another team's choices.

Reported our presently unanimous vote in the official thread. :)

Wow...I'm on my own here huh?

I think its weak to have duplicate leaders. If someone picks who we want we should be able to negotiate and one of the teams change leaders. We can offer an in-game incentive or something.

Maybe we should also vote for a plan B leader?

I agree that we should have a plan b leader.

We'll definitely vote for a plan b leader anyway (and plan c and d), just out of interest if nothing else.

I'm dubious about negotiation between the teams, because I think that risks leading to a deadlock. I prefer the idea of the admins flipping a coin and telling one team that they need to change.

Offering in-game incentives is a very bad idea, IMHO. Then the teams who happen to get duplicates and agree to change get an unfair advantage over the teams who happened not to get duplicates.

Allow duplicate leaders and all problems are solved.

Please come and vote here (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=359008) for your preferred leader(s) and civ(s). :)

Duplicate leaders have been voted in by the official team vote! This is excellent to see. So we'll definitely get our top leader pick, regardless of whether anyone else has chosen the same one. :)
