How much longer before Firaxis releases the next Play The World patch? I've been patiently waiting for it since I got the game on the 29th... Firaxis needs to get this game working properly ASAP!!

If you mean after v1.04, no one knows yet.
The currently available patch is a must have.

Hey thanks for the welcome.

Well I thought this was the approriate forum because I'm mostly talking about the patch to fix multiplayer issues since those are primarily what need fixing.

I have the 1.04f patch but like most people am not able to play properly. I've read everything, I'm no dummy, and I know Firaxis needs to rewrite their DirectX Networking code for this game in order for it to work properly. There's no way a strategy game of this caliber could lag this bad and be this buggy.

Welcome to the boards, and I am sure that Firaxis has people testing a patch, according to the last chat anyway.

Joe, try reading the thread description:

Civ3 multiplayer is here! In this forum you can find other MP players and discuss MP related issues.

I suspect Firaxis will release the patch within the next two weeks; or so I've read from another staff member.

(Gossips go around the same way here as in real life. ;))

When they do release the patch, through what site will they release it? I would think www.civ3.com but that site is only updated about once a year so I doubt it.

Anyways, I hope they get a patch too. And I hope it fixes a lot of bugs and other stuff.
