View Full Version : inquiring about chess games
hartster Nov 08, 2002, 07:38 AM i was just wondering how it is possible to play games here?...and in finding this imformation was also wondering if anyone was up for a game, i think with the time available there is sufficent time to consider all possible moves book or not, but i DO NOT want to play anyone who uses any type of chess computer programs because then i see no point, i need to play some hopfully interesting games and hard one before I make my appearence at the Australian National Championships, even though i am only going to play in the Minors but nevertheless some hard well tought out games over time here will be good for the eyes...icq 147437878

Algernon Pondlife Nov 08, 2002, 11:40 AM Hi,

Here's to a good game. But I doubt if either of us will find the time to see all the possibilities. some ideas are beyond all but the top GMs no matter how long you take to consider a position.
I never use a computer to help or as an opponent (I used to, but people are much more interesting, win or lose) or to analyse things in post mortem ( I haven't the patience when they study a position I already understand and they can't see the obvious and I hate it when they point out the obvious that I can't see)

Algernon Pondlife Feb 16, 2003, 02:28 PM Hello. Glad you could make it. I'm sometimes a bit erratic about my move rate (as well as my style of play:)). Hope you like the Sokolsky.
