I just bought PTW yesterday and haven't even opened the box yet. Would like to play in some PBEM games. Looking through the threads here it seems people are trying to set up PBEM games where all the players are on line at the same time. Is this necessary or just done in the hopes of speeding up game play? I realize taking a turn or two a day in a Civ 3 game would take a looooongggggg time but has anyone tried that pace yet? Can that be done? Is anyone interested in trying a PBEM game at this pace?

I've been looking to have a play by email buddy. Let's start a game.

I'll play against you donsig! If I win, you get an honorary PI, if you win, you get a second chance in tourny 3-1. :p j/k!

Being online at once helps the game to speed along, since (espeically if you come to the chat ;)), you can say "ok, I'm sending it to you! be ready!", and quickly pass it along. If you just send it to someone's email without telling them, you just have to hope they read it.

Tomorrow night (eastern US time) sounds like a good time to start. Are you still interested in playing Flexmaster and CT? I'll try to start a thread in the PBEM sub-forum in the morning to see if we can attract anyone else. :)

I'll be getting PTW maybe tomorrow, then you, I and joe can start one game for old times' sake. :) I wonder if Ohwell has gotten the game as well....

Myself, I'm preferring a less hectic schedule. I don't mind just playing a few moves or even one each day. Just a note - ain't around on weekends. ;)

Plesae count me in! I would like to play in a long term, slow developing game at 1-2 turns per day!

I'd also like to play. When will people be starting it tonight? I have a late class but I should be back by 6:30.
