One thing missing from the MP game is a way to pause it, or am I missing something? Doesn't anyone at Firaxis ever have to go to the bathroom?

That's why I almost always choose turn based mode with slow timer in my LAN games.

In most critical cases or in other modes save/load might work.

In the inet games (if and when it ll work) u might have to sacrifice a few turns (or else...) Syncronising bathroom breaks might be impossible for 5+ people playing from different places...

Press the pause/break button, it is as easy as that (for turnless at least), you have like 3 pauses each, I have only hosted games so I don't know if the other person could pause, GOOD LUCK!

on the Keyboard. Next to Num Lock, near Print Screen.

I can quite honestly say that I've never stopped playing Civ to use the bathroom, eat, drink or any other basic function. Only forces of nature such as powercuts or girlfriend can pry me away, and then not without a fight.

Come on guys, give me a break! :(

Civ has given me the ability to go without food or water for extended periods (hence the lack of need for toilet visitations)

You're just jealous :P

Seriously ... ? The game will recognize the standard pause key? I'll try it out. I didn't realize that was being referred to. I expected a CTRL-something.

Thanks for the information.
