Bill_in_PDX Nov 11, 2002, 06:11 PM Congratulations Governor on your ascention to power.
Plexus Nov 11, 2002, 06:13 PM Deputy Governorship Still Open
The position of Deputy Governor is open, if you are interested, post here or PM Plexus (me) ;).
Grandmaster Nov 11, 2002, 06:24 PM Lord Plexus, what exactly does a Deputy Governor have to do?
Plexus Nov 11, 2002, 06:29 PM A deputy governor helps the governor in making queues, posts province related discussions, and can represent the province in turnchats when the governor cannot attend.
Grandmaster Nov 11, 2002, 06:31 PM Hmm..... I'll think about it.... but I guess I should learn how to work the CF chatrooms first.....
Plexus Nov 11, 2002, 06:36 PM Ok, i'll keep you in mind.
BTW: (the TC part won't be that important).
FortyJ Nov 12, 2002, 09:48 AM Plexus
Congratulations on your promotion to Governor of Bohemia from the Cartographic Office. Please remind your deputy that he or she will be eligible for City Naming rights and should register his or her city name with our office (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=34519).
Bill_in_PDX Nov 12, 2002, 11:38 AM Chief Justice Notice
I am sorry to be the messenger of bad news. The people of Fanatika, in their haste to address the "one city province problem" have passed an official and binding poll here: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=589901#post589901
This poll eliminates the status of Bohemia as a province, and the city of Bavaria's build queues and land tiles are now under the control of Domestic department.
This does eliminate your governorship legally.
I am again sorry to be delivering this news, and remind all that I am simply the messenger, and I in fact voted against this proposal.
Bill
Chief Justice
Shaitan Nov 12, 2002, 11:46 AM Please do not move on the poll referred to above. The poll is being contested (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?postid=589937#post589937).
Bill_in_PDX Nov 12, 2002, 02:49 PM Chief Justice Note
The poll has been upheld. This change takes effect immediately.
I am sorry Plexus, and hope that we will find a better place for your excellent skills.
Bill
Chief Justice
Plexus Nov 12, 2002, 04:55 PM Well, this is great... I hope Fionn will take me back as his Lt.
Cyc Nov 12, 2002, 06:54 PM * Now Cyc is beyond shaking his head...He's starting to talk to himself.... *
Plexus Nov 14, 2002, 12:49 AM Ok, I'm back. I would like to thank all of my supporters for voting for my reinstatement.
CivGeneral Nov 14, 2002, 05:47 AM Three cheers for Plexus :). Congrats Plexus :).
donsig Nov 14, 2002, 06:19 PM Governor Plexus, if we work another forest tile in Bavaria we can complete the heroic Epic in 8 turns instead of 9!
Plexus Nov 14, 2002, 06:58 PM what do you mean by work? have a worker cut down a forest? or put a villager on a forest tile? If you mean the latter, you lost me...
donsig Nov 14, 2002, 07:26 PM I mean move the villager from the mined grassland that is making one shield to a forest tile. That will shave one turn. :)
Plexus Nov 14, 2002, 07:34 PM wow, you're right! thanks donsig. :)
Octavian X Nov 14, 2002, 09:29 PM Governor Plexus, the city of Bavaria is without a mayor. The former mayor of this city, disorganizer, pushed my out of my Morgana position. I would like to respectfully apply for the position of mayor of the capital, Bavaria.
Thank you.
Plexus Nov 14, 2002, 09:44 PM ok, you're hired :)
Plexus Nov 14, 2002, 09:51 PM the deputy governorship is still open, a great position for newbies... or just someone who wants a job.

Wait one more turn before taking him off. We'll still get the one turn savings on the build but will get one more food than if we do the switch now.
Grandmaster Nov 15, 2002, 02:43 PM Plexus, if you are unable to find anybody to fill the Deputy Gov position, I'd be interested in taking a go at it.
Plexus Nov 15, 2002, 04:30 PM Great! I'll post a poll right away! :)
Plexus Nov 15, 2002, 04:38 PM Here is the confirmation poll: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=36772
Grandmaster Nov 15, 2002, 04:56 PM Thanks, Gov. So far I'm winning :)
Plexus Nov 15, 2002, 05:00 PM yep, 5-0-0 :)
Grandmaster Nov 15, 2002, 05:00 PM Wow, it was 3-0 a coupla seconds ago...
Plexus Nov 15, 2002, 05:04 PM Yea, I advertised in the CFC chatroom. :)
Grandmaster Nov 15, 2002, 05:05 PM Thanks, Plexus. 6-0 now. :)
CivGeneral Nov 17, 2002, 08:19 PM I have a suggestion to put into the build queue. Once you are done building the heroic epic. I would suggest building the hanging gardens :)
Octavian X Nov 17, 2002, 09:08 PM As the Lord Mayor of Bavaria, I second that suggestion.
(I love that title)
Donovan Zoi Nov 18, 2002, 01:18 AM Just a thought: you guys might really want to consider using Bavaria to help our upcoming offensive against the Japanese. We are going to need as many good men as possible, and Bavaria's barracks and relatively high production could get veteran horsemen and swordsmen out to the front lines FAST!
Swords or horses: one every 3 turns
Spearmen(to relieve other cities garrisoned swords): one every 2 turns
Shaitan Nov 18, 2002, 03:25 AM No wonder!
Bavaria cannot switch to the palace once the cascade fallout from the Great Lighthouse takes away whatever we would have invested in the Hanging Gardens.
Plexus Nov 19, 2002, 04:47 PM I agree, Shaitan. Bohemia will not build a wonder... for now.
Cyc Nov 20, 2002, 02:26 AM I also agree that Bavaria should train Military Units. Horses will be needed to join the battles in the SW.
I would also like to request that the patch of forest to the SW of Bavaria in Tile -1/0 be named officially as the Bavarian Forest. It is separated from any other forest grouping and directly touches the City Tile of Bavaria. Can we please process this naming request?
FortyJ Nov 27, 2002, 04:23 PM A belated congratulations Grandmaster on your confirmation as Deputy Governor of this province. The Cartographic Office would like to remind you that your position makes you eligible for city naming rights. Please register your preferred city name with our office (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=34519) before the next turn chat, if possible.
Grandmaster Nov 27, 2002, 05:26 PM Name posted.
Plexus Nov 27, 2002, 06:33 PM Don't even remind me that I didn't post my TC instructions in the instruction thread...
Grandmaster Nov 27, 2002, 07:38 PM Edit:
Nevermind. Plexus has informed me he intends to finish out his term. That is all.
Eklektikos Nov 29, 2002, 11:46 AM I have posted a quick poll regarding rushing settlers to counter AI insurgency in the NW (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37883). Please vote ASAP if you wish to have your say on this issue! :goodjob:
Cyc Nov 29, 2002, 12:27 PM Adieu to you, too...
Eklektikos Nov 30, 2002, 04:09 PM Turn chat announcement
Octavian has already stated that he will be unable to act as DP at the coming TC, and I am not willing to start one at 3am. As such, I have decided that if I am the elected president come 00:01 GMT, I will be rescheduling the TC for 00:15am GMT, 2hours and 45 minutes earlier than currently scheduled. Since it will be sunday by that time I will arguably be within my rights to do so.
