-Well, Schalke defeated Polish champion Legia in 2nd round so they should in theory also defeat Polish vice-champion Wisla.
-Vitesse is doomed.
-not many real top-matches, Malaga - Leeds the only one (Malaga will win)

Tough draw for the Turkish teams could have been better if we drew Betis and Slavia.

Hertha Berlin v Fulham should be a close game.

What about Glasgow Celtic vs. Celta Viga?? Now that should be a good game if Celtic can play as good as they did donw at Ewood Park on Thrusday ;)

As for the Liverpool vs. Vitesse game, I wouldn't count out Vitesse, afterall Liverpool managed to drop 3 goals inside 45 minutes to FC Basle in the Champions League, I wouldn't call this game as over yet. Though the smart money is still on Liverpool to win :D

doh... polish football association isn`t very reliable it seems...2 games already missed, how much more to come? ;)
Well, there is a chance for every club obviously. If Wisla Krakow manages to be 1:0 behind with 45 minutes to go they should statistically win that match with 4:1 - it would be 3rd time already then (something similar happened last year - cannot remember the opponent but it was a spanish one and this year again in last match against Parma :D)

Not those greeks again.... We've beaten you once. Can't you get enough? If only we would've had a home game as well...

Its two legs so you will get to play them at home as well, afterwards.

IceBlaZe

Not really a home game.
No games for UEFA in Israel because of "the situation" :(

It's darn stupid. It's only because Haifa is a small team.
We have no problems with the European Basketball association.

Well, no one gave Wisla Krakow a chance but as usual they won the 2nd match 4:1 in Gelsenkirchen, and so with 1:1 and 4:1 Wisla eliminated Schalke and reaches the 4th round :D A few Germans should be very ashamed of themselves I guess ;)

Besiktas to beat Slavia
Lazio to beat Wisla
Boavista to beat Hertha
AEK to beat Malaga
Celtic to beat Stuttgart
Liverpool to beat Auxerre
Porto to beat Denizlispor
Panathinaikos to smash Anderlecht

(this probably shows that I have no idea about football)

Dell19
Dec 17, 2002, 11:13 AM
Panathinaikos to smash Anderlecht isn't that likely... and this Boavista to beat Hertha is probably going to be the other way rould although it could go either way. :)

willemvanoranje

I think Panathinaikos will win though, and indeed, I think Hertha is better, but they seem to have a little crisis going on, so...
