View Full Version : UEFA Cup Draw jeriko one Nov 15, 2002, 01:58 PM Opinions and predictions for the 3rd round? willemvanoranje Nov 15, 2002, 02:14 PM Vitesse is going to lose against Liverpool. Dell19 Nov 15, 2002, 04:15 PM Haven't seen the draw, could we have a link? Kasperus Nov 15, 2002, 05:11 PM Didn`t knew the draw has already been made. Only CL seen... now it seems the dutchies are finished though ;) Kasperus Nov 15, 2002, 05:13 PM Wisła Kraków - Schalke Gelsenkirchen Lazio Rome - Sturm Graz Betis Sewilla - Auxerre Besiktas Istambuł - Dynamo Kyiev Paris Saint Germain - Boavista Porto Club Brugge - VfB Stuttgart Liverpool - Vitesse Arnhem Panathinaikos Athens - Slovan Liberec Denizlispor - Olympique Lyon Bordeaux - Anderlecht B. Malaga - Leeds United PAOK Saloniki - Slavia Praha Hertha Berlin - Fulham Kasperus Nov 15, 2002, 05:16 PM -Well, Schalke defeated Polish champion Legia in 2nd round so they should in theory also defeat Polish vice-champion Wisla. -Vitesse is doomed. -not many real top-matches, Malaga - Leeds the only one (Malaga will win) IceBlaZe Nov 16, 2002, 01:28 AM You forgot Maccabi Haifa - AEK Athens jeriko one Nov 16, 2002, 02:48 AM Tough draw for the Turkish teams could have been better if we drew Betis and Slavia. Dell19 Nov 16, 2002, 03:28 AM Hertha Berlin v Fulham should be a close game. ERIKK Nov 16, 2002, 03:50 AM Originally posted by willemvanoranje Vitesse is going to lose against Liverpool. All the English fans can, with no fear at all, call their bookies....   Panda Nov 16, 2002, 04:04 AM Wisła Kraków - Schalke Gelsenkirchen - Schalke should win that Lazio Rome - Sturm Graz - poor Austrians :( Betis Sewilla - Auxerre - Sevilla, though Auxerre might surprise them Besiktas Istanbul - Dynamo Kyiev - tough one, but I put €1 on besiktas Paris Saint Germain - Boavista Porto - no idea in what shape these teams are Club Brugge - VfB Stuttgart - two tight match, but I think German precission work will prevail Liverpool - Vitesse Arnhem - looks like a bridge too far for Arnheim  Panathinaikos Athens - Slovan Liberec - Athens Denizlispor - Olympique Lyon - no idea Bordeaux - Anderlecht B. - both have realistic chances of making it Malaga - Leeds United - both can make it, even though Malaga should be the slight favourite PAOK Saloniki - Slavia Praha - no idea Hertha Berlin - Fulham - again, two tight matches Maccabi Haifa - AEK Athens - Athens, though Haifa seems to be good for surprises ;) willemvanoranje Nov 16, 2002, 04:32 AM Wisla Kraków - Schalke Gelsenkirchen - Schalke Lazio Rome - Sturm Graz - Lazio Betis Sevilla - Auxerre - Auxerre Besiktas Istanbul - Dynamo Kyiev - Dinamo Paris Saint Germain - Boavista Porto - Boavista Club Brugge - VfB Stuttgart - VfB Stuttgart Liverpool - Vitesse Arnhem - the Reds Panathinaikos - Slovan Liberec - Panathinaikos Denizlispor - Olympique Lyon - Olympique Bordeaux - Anderlecht - Bordeaux Malaga - Leeds United - Malaga PAOK Saloniki - Slavia Praha - Slavia Hertha Berlin - Fulham - Fulham Maccabi Haifa - AEK Athens - Maccabi Haifa Kasperus Nov 17, 2002, 01:10 PM Originally posted by IceBlaZe You forgot Maccabi Haifa - AEK Athens Well, i toke it literally over from the site of the Polish football association so blame them ;) IceBlaZe Nov 17, 2002, 02:36 PM Well, i toke it literally over from the site of the Polish football association so blame them I always knew those Poles were anti-Semites!! ;) Dexter Nov 17, 2002, 03:01 PM What about Glasgow Celtic vs. Celta Viga?? Now that should be a good game if Celtic can play as good as they did donw at Ewood Park on Thrusday ;) As for the Liverpool vs. Vitesse game, I wouldn't count out Vitesse, afterall Liverpool managed to drop 3 goals inside 45 minutes to FC Basle in the Champions League, I wouldn't call this game as over yet. Though the smart money is still on Liverpool to win :D Kasperus Nov 18, 2002, 03:39 AM doh... polish football association isn`t very reliable it seems...2 games already missed, how much more to come? ;) Well, there is a chance for every club obviously. If Wisla Krakow manages to be 1:0 behind with 45 minutes to go they should statistically win that match with 4:1 - it would be 3rd time already then (something similar happened last year - cannot remember the opponent but it was a spanish one and this year again in last match against Parma :D) G-Man Nov 21, 2002, 06:04 AM Not those greeks again.... We've beaten you once. Can't you get enough? If only we would've had a home game as well... Dell19 Nov 21, 2002, 09:19 AM Its two legs so you will get to play them at home as well, afterwards. IceBlaZe Nov 21, 2002, 10:00 AM Not really a home game. No games for UEFA in Israel because of "the situation" :( It's darn stupid. It's only because Haifa is a small team. We have no problems with the European Basketball association. Kasperus Dec 10, 2002, 12:46 PM Well, no one gave Wisla Krakow a chance but as usual they won the 2nd match 4:1 in Gelsenkirchen, and so with 1:1 and 4:1 Wisla eliminated Schalke and reaches the 4th round :D A few Germans should be very ashamed of themselves I guess ;) Kasperus Dec 16, 2002, 09:38 AM 4th round draw SLAVIA PRAHA - BESIKTAS ISTAMBUL Besiktas LAZIO ROMA - WISŁA KRAKÓW hehe, Wisla can beat everybody right now ;) HERTHA BERLIN - BOAVISTA PORTO Hertha MALAGA - AEK ATHENS Malaga CELTIC GLASGOW - VfB STUTTGART Stuttgart AJ AUXERRE - FC LIVERPOOL Liverpool of course FC PORTO - DENIZLISPOR Porto ANDERLECHT BRUSSEL - PANATHINAIKOS ATHENS Anderlecht Hĺkon Dec 17, 2002, 09:28 AM Besiktas to beat Slavia Lazio to beat Wisla Boavista to beat Hertha AEK to beat Malaga Celtic to beat Stuttgart Liverpool to beat Auxerre Porto to beat Denizlispor Panathinaikos to smash Anderlecht (this probably shows that I have no idea about football) Dell19 Dec 17, 2002, 11:13 AM Panathinaikos to smash Anderlecht isn't that likely... and this Boavista to beat Hertha is probably going to be the other way rould although it could go either way. :) willemvanoranje Dec 17, 2002, 01:03 PM I think Panathinaikos will win though, and indeed, I think Hertha is better, but they seem to have a little crisis going on, so... |
