INSTALL BIC: copy content into your CivilizationIII/Scenario folder and ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!
INSTALL BIX: copy content into your CivilizationIII/Civ3PTW/Scenario folder and ENJOY!!!!!!!!!
INSTALL UNIT: copy folder into your CivilizationIII/Art/Units folder and ENJOY!!!!!!!!!

Units: Power Armor for the Bic file.

This was originaly just a map request, so sprvn8 why do you make most of your maps scenarios?

Actually I put this in the wrong section, it has no story and default rules and units so it is a map just in the wrong place.

If a modderater happens to see this, could you move this to the Completed Maps Section?

Which file keeps crashing? and what (if any) does it say?

i just load it, and it crashes when i try to change production.:mad:

What file did you use? the BIC or the BIX?did you try to change to the Power Armor?did you load the Bix without PTW?

What utility did you use to convert the image to a BIC/BIX?

On my website there is a utility called BMP to BIC. on the Maps Page.

NVM, I found it. How did you use that screenshot, and have you fixed the Canada map bug yet?

Extract the file to your C/Programs,

Go into your C/Programs, find the application file or exe. file and creat a shortcut to your Desktop,
now look for the file BMPToBIC,and open it,

You should see a pic in there called BMPToBIC palette, click on it and open it in Paint Shop Pro 7 (thats what I have)
Save the file as a PAL. in the same directory that you have the file in.

When you have a pic that you want to use you must go to the colors tab (at the top),
go to Load PAL, and find the PAL that you just saved,
and click on it.
You should see the pic change to the colors of that specific PAL.
Make you adjustments for the Terrain, (each color repesents different Terrain)

Go to Image and look for Resize Image and resize it to the specific sizes of 60x60,80x80,100x100,140x140,180x180,256x256,
the program is not made to read any other size.

Save the map with the desired sizes and modifications to a location that is easy to remember,( I use my Desktop)

Open the Application file that you created the shortcut on your Desktop and Load the BMP

After you see your map click Generate Map and your finished with that.

Now open your Bic file that should be listed as BMPToBIC
and make your rule changes.

And for the Canada Scenario I can't fix the problem if you don't send me the Save file that I requested.
the two Bic and Bix files you sent me aren't really good unless you send that save file.
you don't need to send the original just a copy.

Yup, I sent you the sav file.

It is the turn it crashes. My second city, Abbotsford, has just produced its warrior, and the governor wants to produce a spearman next. I wanted it to build a worker, so I enter the city, click on the spearman icon to switch to worker, and then it crashes.

I will see what I can come up with, get back with you.

Thanks a ton man for helping me with teh utility. The map will look whacked, with a lot of forest to the north instead of tundra.
It'll be my first, so it may suck.

Pretty good! Neat to see how realistic maps can look from a computer game.

I was a >little< disappointed that the terrain was unaltered, but this is a minor set back that I would be... :twitch: ...happy to adjust myself.

As soon as I build a Power Armor it freezes, and I am pretty sure I have all the files in the right folder.

Yea i have also had this problem: when i change production in a city the whole game crashes, but i also found this in the 256x256 Great Lakes map that comes with GOTY edition. Its rather frustrating, since i wish to play both maps very much. Any ideas as to what could cause this? Ive installed the GOTY on more than one comp, and it happens on every one, so its not a bad installation.
