Can someone please tell me how to add new units?

just add one in Civ3edit

make a new mod file, in options check off default rules, then goto the editor's unit window tab and add one

then you need to make sure you got the animation/graphic files for that.... the only things you need are the .flc files and a .ini file, which all of custom units posted have, just make sure the .ini file and the folder are named the same as the unit in the .bic file, and have the folder in civ3\Art/Units/
