Hey Everyone!
Please help me out if you would. I have both Civ III and Play the world and have the latest patches as of late November, '02.

My problem is that there are alot of cool scenerios on the scenerio page of this web site; I can't seem to play or properly dowload them. I am able to open them by clicking on the scenerio, and when I hit the 'open' button on the 'you have chosen to download _____ ' the little box icon pops up.

The file is then downloaded, but I can never seem to find it anywere on my computer or in the game itself.

I have then tried to save the file to a certain location in my computer, mostly to the 'scenerios' folder, but it never appears when I load-up the game. Clicking on the icon of the scenerio I just downloaded in windows doesn't help either. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks!

your problem is that you are "opening" the file and NOT "saving to disk" i bet your temp folder is loaded with civ stuff (;

but most of the mods here won,t function properly with ptw.

Where would my temporary file be located?

Also, could maybe you please walk me through step by step on what I should do to download and install a scenerio?

Thank you in advance. My email is : seekthetruth00@hotmail.com
or just reply here. Thanks

I posted this on the thread in the Completed Scenarios forum: most scenarios are zipped. Have you been unzipping the scenarios first? From your description above, it's not clear whether you had done this first.

Can I please ask how you are supposed to unzip? No, I do not think that I am doing that becasue they usually download in only about 3 or 4 seconds, which seems awful quick
Thanks!

You should be able to find a shareware or demo verions of winzip or some other unzipping program on the web. Try downloads.com, or just try a web search, you should be able to find what you need. Once installed, all you need to do is double click on the zipped scenarios you downloaded. Also, most scenarios should have instructions on how to use them. Hope this helps you out.

Hi,

I would like to apply the rule "lethal bombardment" to my normal civ3 games (either in ptw or in the old one) do I have to use the scenario editor in order to succeed. shall I, in order to do so, start a new game, save it and the edit it with the editor or what ??? This is, I think, not mentioned in any of the reference guides. pls. help me:eek:
