I love playing Civ3, but the excessive corruption nearly kills the fun at times. Is there a MOD available that simply reduces corruption? I don't want anything else to change, just corruption levels. If there's no MOD already available, what changes do I need to make on my BIC file to reduce corruption?
Thanks,
Fardaza

In the editor that comes with the game you can adjust the corruption levels for each government type. If that's what you want to do, that might help you.

I agree. Corruption sucks. You can make the Forbidden Palace an Improvement and thus build more than one, or you can make improvements such as the Bank or Cathedral reduce corruption by checking the flag in the editor.

Or like UtahJazz said you can explicitly set the corruption level by adjusting the corruption level slider. In addition, the Optimum Cities Number has a very large facotr in fighting corruption.

To adjust the corruption level got to the editor, click on the EDIT tab, find Difficuly Levels, adjust corruption levels in this tab.
That might help even more.:) :) :)

Thanks for all the suggestions! I will keep my eyes on this forum often.
I've been checking out some of the suggestions for opening moves in another section...wow, I thought I was a good Civ player?!?

I've long since abandon that thought!
