Real Madrid, Barcelona and Man UTD are probably the best three teams in european competitions at the moment but Arsenal are probably the best league team. Overall it would be a difficult choice so I'm not going to pick a team :p SunTzu Nov 21, 2002, 03:16 PM Germany is my pick for best team :goodjob: and the Arsenal as the league team yaroslav Nov 21, 2002, 05:04 PM What? There is any doubt yet? Real Madrid, of course ;) willemvanoranje Nov 23, 2002, 03:50 AM I think Manchester is just plain rubbish. A lot of those players really don't belong there. For the moment I'd have to say Real Madrid is the best, although I'd very much like to see a mini-tournament with AC Milan, Arsenal and Real Madrid (maybe the right three teams for the next Amsterdam Tournament?) Suppersalmon Nov 23, 2002, 04:42 AM Real Madrid BCLG100 Nov 25, 2002, 01:32 PM i meant league teams arsenal are playing pretty well at the moment but as are Everton so it can just be based on that has to be worldwide Dell19 Nov 26, 2002, 10:52 AM Man United are still doing well in European football and that was my point earlier... Most imrpoved English team - Everton Best English team - No one IceBlaZe Nov 26, 2002, 11:50 AM Best English team - No one Arsenal. The last month just been a glitch ;) BCLG100 Nov 26, 2002, 03:48 PM and the last game also i guess that was an amazing 7 minutes from Man U tonight willemvanoranje Nov 27, 2002, 01:48 AM yeah, but it's amazing as well that FC Basel was able to hold a lead that long, shows again: Manchester sucks nowadays... col Nov 27, 2002, 04:54 AM But they are still in contention with half of their team injured. Keane, Butt, Beckham, Ferdinand, Neville, When they all come back, they will be a match for anyone. Their young players and reserves are getting some great experience right now. u-gene Nov 27, 2002, 05:58 AM Lokomotiv Moscow of course. :) If seriously, then I'd say Barcelona. Real Madrid does not seem strong now. MrPresident Nov 27, 2002, 07:01 AM Liverpool and I am in no way bias. Also it is called FOOTBALL!!! ERIKK Nov 27, 2002, 07:33 AM After seeing AC Milan yesterday: #1 Barcalona #2 AC Milan #3 Arsenal u-gene Nov 27, 2002, 08:14 AM Also it is called FOOTBALL!!! Finally. At least some of the guys here know the correct name of this game. ;) KaeptnOvi Nov 27, 2002, 08:15 AM Originally posted by col But they are still in contention with half of their team injured. Zcylen Nov 27, 2002, 09:15 AM from Europe I think the most I like (maybe not the best now) Barcelona and from America undoubtedly the best are River Plate from Argentina and Toluca from Mexico (only 1 lost in 20 games!!!) B] There are two Nevilles... Waht do you mean Man United shouldn't have sweated! Its the champions league, Basle knocked out Liverpool so I think they must be quite goog themselves. There are no easy games in football, just games that you should win... MrPresident Nov 27, 2002, 09:52 AM There are no easy games in football, just games that you should win... It really is a game of two halves. I have waited for so long for an opportunity to use a football cliche. I can die happy. col Nov 27, 2002, 09:55 AM Originally posted by Dell19 There are two Nevilles... [quote] Three is you include Tracy. And some feel Tracy is better than Phil.... There are no easy games in football, just games that you should win... Any team that has knocked out Celtic and Liverpool along the way has to be respected. You'll notice I didnt mention Blanc.... BCLG100 Nov 30, 2002, 03:28 PM The reson i called it soccer was so not to confuse all the american people browsing thats why i said football in my post @mr president lol Sa~Craig Dec 23, 2002, 04:07 PM after a recent unbeaten run Manchester United are the greatest team in England. We will have our vengence over b*******n probably in the worthington cup stalin006 Dec 23, 2002, 04:14 PM soccer team: Real Madrid nations soccer team: germany, Brazil,mmmh........senegal? I'm not so sure about Ferdinand any more. It's hard to argue with Real Madrid's record. And anyone who's watched Brazil play would know what I mean when I say jogo bonito . . . gugalpm Dec 28, 2002, 06:58 PM How can someone say that the best american team is argentinian, or even mexican??? Of course, the best team in america is brazilian. Don't ask me what team is, 'cause then my personal preferences are going to interfere. National teams, the best is Brazil, undoubtely. Although I don't like some players, the marketing involved and everything, it is, and I'm proud of... Brazil is the land of football!!! willemvanoranje Jan 05, 2003, 04:13 AM brazil had the best results, but I'm pretty sure Argentina is better than them. Brazil is more a bunch of individuals than a team anyway...but really, what do we talk about, we all know who's the World Champion... Dell19 Jan 05, 2003, 04:31 AM I would say Brazil are the better team as Argentina rely alot on a few key players, and Argentina lost to England... willemvanoranje Jan 05, 2003, 12:00 PM  they were still my favourites last summer ;) Phantom Lord Jan 08, 2003, 05:40 PM The best team of the season probably comes from italy, Milano to be precise. I just can't decide if it's Inter or AC. AC has a fantastic defense (even better than Inter), Inter has a fantastic offense (even better than AC). willemvanoranje Jan 09, 2003, 07:07 AM on paper that might be so, but still AC Milan playes much more offensive and much more beautiful than Inter. Ajax played Inter twice, was the better one twice, but lost (although in the last match that was Urs Meier's fault), if they would play AC Milan I don't think I would even have a chance to complain about the ref. Rhye Jan 14, 2003, 03:02 PM Originally posted by Phantom Lord The best team of the season probably comes from italy, Milano to be precise. I just can't decide if it's Inter or AC. Please don't call AC Milan "AC" It's name is simply "Milan", while Inter Milan is simply "Inter" (in fact its real name is F.C. Internazionale) willemvanoranje Jan 15, 2003, 07:57 AM fair enough, I'll try to remember ;) I can't stand it when f.e. Germans say Kerkrade to Roda JC or Nijmegen to NEC or even Eindhoven to PSV. Dell19 Jan 15, 2003, 11:51 AM Isn't there a separate team called Eindhoven or something similar? AC Milan is ok, because it's the way it's called outside Italy In Italy we call it Milan But "AC", no no no willemvanoranje Jan 15, 2003, 12:55 PM  good, but a lot of other clubs are called AC (what does it mean, asosasion de calcio or something?) as well, right? It's like calling a random English club FC. MCdread Jan 15, 2003, 03:32 PM Associazione calcio, right Rhye? But there's AS aswell, I think that's for Associazione sportiva (eg, AS Roma). Rhye Jan 15, 2003, 06:04 PM Yes, in Italy there are: AC = Associazione Calcio AS = Associazione Sportiva FC = Football Club SS = Società Sportiva UC = Unione Calcio US = Unione Sportiva or [.....name of the team...] Calcio philippe Jan 17, 2003, 11:03 PM Best team international:Brazil best team clubs:barcalona best belgian team:Club Brugge!!!!! |
