HotDog Fish Nov 22, 2002, 08:27 PM Hey is there anyway to have future techs as a pre-requisite for this unt? I really think Star Wars exceeds the modern age
Tilarium Nov 22, 2002, 10:41 PM My vote would be for either the dewback trooper, a snowtrooper, or the snow trooper with the e-web cannon.
Kyle
GIDustin Nov 23, 2002, 12:53 AM Do em all!!! Oh yeah, judging by the screenshots, I am guessing that when this unit goes to attack, it shifts upwards a bit. I havent tested it, but hopefully this isnt the case
GIDustin
GIDustin Nov 23, 2002, 01:01 AM After half-way testing it, the run animation is the only one that really is visible, and not too bad.

Tepez2447 Nov 23, 2002, 02:33 AM sexy AT-AT. Looks pretty nice i do say.
Yoda Power Nov 23, 2002, 02:44 AM I think you should remove the red eyes from the Darth Vader unit.
tpasmall Nov 23, 2002, 09:53 AM Very cool Morpheus. I added the unit to the website and its great to have you on the team. As for which unit to do next, the probe droid is already done. And i think the AT-AT driver would be a cool next unit.

http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads2/at-st-driver.gif
I have managed to get a 3D model of a Snow-Trooper and I will try to setup a project for this unit :D
If I find a usable 3D model for Jaba, who knows Yoda Power all can happen
Thanks, tpasmall for the warm welcome to the team :)
At last a first preview of the Snow-Trooper:

http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=42088
horsematrix Feb 07, 2003, 10:13 PM could you give me some insight on what the next starwars unit might be you do a great job and am eager to see what you come up with next.
Silverblade Feb 08, 2003, 04:28 AM Impressive, very impressive. Keep the good work at a steady pace. Now I really need to check out the webpage you guys have for the Star Wars mod.
TheMorpheus Feb 08, 2003, 09:04 AM Thanks :D
I'm working on two projects at the moment. The creation of a Imperial Snow Trooper (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=617668#post617668), a new unit in games. The second unit is the Clone Trooper, it's much easier because I can use the Clone Trooper from the Battlegrounds game as template.
By the way, Yoda Power has requested Jabba and I think this unit will be one of my next projects.
Yoda Power Feb 08, 2003, 09:11 AM hey thanks M:goodjob:
horsematrix Feb 08, 2003, 12:44 PM snow trooper looks great and i can't wait to see the clone trooper i can't wait till the star wars mod is done.
Agent Smith Feb 08, 2003, 02:09 PM Great Unit! :goodjob:
Xiahou-Dun Mar 24, 2003, 12:44 AM Love the New StarWars unit AT-AT , but cannot get the unit picture to show in the edit screen.
unit_32 is how it is labeled in the zip,
the one in my folder (Civ3) is labeled, units_32 (an s is added).
If I tried to change the name of the unit_32 to units_32 and overwrite....only to have it overwrite every other unit in the orignal units_32. (Meaning it crashes when you try to edit any unit then).
So then I downloaded zulu9812's My units_32.pcx, with 600+ icons added, hoping it would have the unit image for the AT-AT, sadly I couldn't find it there either.
So what I need is a way to number this unit (AT-AT) or another way to add it to ulu9812's My Units 32.
zulu9812 Mar 24, 2003, 03:29 AM Sorry, I'd forgotten about this unit. I'll add the icon in v1.9, promise.
aaglo Mar 26, 2003, 04:10 AM All-Terrain Armored-Transport = AT-AT
Thus it should have a transport capacity ;)
Very cool, very sexy :D :goodjob:
cavemanf16 Mar 26, 2003, 12:38 PM That is one sweet Star Wars unit. So where is the Star Wars mod at? Isn't it ready yet???
TheShinobi Aug 21, 2003, 03:00 PM NICE!!!!!!!
sourboy Aug 21, 2003, 04:03 PM 2 things:
1) I would like to make some units to help speed the process, for the learning and fun of it...what do I need to create units? software type, etc?
2) the AT-AT should be shooting red (with orange tint) lasers, but...I would recommend maybe using weaponry as the color modifer for each Civ. Ex- Vader's sword is the color of his team....
TheMorpheus Aug 30, 2003, 10:03 AM Hi sourboy,
here some answers to your questions:
1) I would like to make some units to help speed the process, for the learning and fun of it...what do I need to create units? software type, etc?
You need the FLICSTER tool, which you can download in the tools thread. Then you need a program like the Paint Shop for the creative stuff.
You can use the units of the game StarWas Battleground as template for your units. To access the units of that game you need the DRS viewer. This tool is a part of the "SWGB Design Kit", which you can download on "StarWars Galactic Battleground Heaven". Here the direct link:
SWGB Design Kit (http://swgb.heavengames.com/downloads/php/descpage.php?type=Utilities&id=85)
2) the AT-AT should be shooting red (with orange tint) lasers, but...I would recommend maybe using weaponry as the color modifer for each Civ. Ex- Vader's sword is the color of his team....
The standard color of laser of imperial units is green and the standard color for rebel is red. So I choose the green color for the AT-AT blasters.
Thanks and may the force be with you.
Jacob Jansen Apr 08, 2006, 11:33 AM This is very cool, and this is comming from a huge star wars fan. Just, I know where these immages were taken from. Do you think Lucas Arts would allow you to use them?
Bluemofia Apr 08, 2006, 11:41 AM This is very cool, and this is comming from a huge star wars fan. Just, I know where these immages were taken from. Do you think Lucas Arts would allow you to use them?
Of course Lucas Arts would. Most of the star wars units have been converted from Lucas Arts... And we aren't selling them for profit.
And please don't bump dead threads. It earns you a bad reputation.
Supa Apr 08, 2006, 11:47 AM Of course Lucas Arts would.
I would keep it quiet. LucasArt doesn't have a good reputation with fan-games. They even tried to shut down ScummVM once.
Bluemofia Apr 08, 2006, 11:49 AM But I'm wondering why they haven't complained if it's been out for so long... And CFC isn't exactly an obscure website.
Supa Apr 08, 2006, 01:08 PM CFC doesn't exactly promote the (unreleased) SW mod in front page either.
Bluemofia Apr 08, 2006, 01:21 PM But they do with the units that are completed, though none have been recently.
ModRocker Apr 08, 2006, 03:17 PM You should use all the graphics of the AT-AT, I'm pretty sure the SWGB AT-AT has more frames in the dieing. You should make mods out of SWGB mods, there are alot of Episode 3 mods avaible at www.swgb.heavengames.com.
Anyways I can't really say this is a great mod because it's not even really a mod, but graphics made by a professional gaming company that you used the graphics from, (without crediting them either).
Chris85 Apr 10, 2006, 10:35 AM Way back in like 2003 we sent several e-mails to Lucasarts about using some of the material from Galactic Battlegrounds for a Civ3 mod and they never gave a response back. More recently, Lucas himself has been open about people using stuff from Star Wars for fan-films and games as long as you don't profit from it. I'm assuming it is ok.
BTW, I do give credit to LucasArts and Galactic Battlegrounds for the units I've made from that game.
Jacob Jansen Apr 10, 2006, 10:57 AM I was not complaining, just asking...:-)
