Seven-T-Ate Nov 25, 2002, 05:23 PM Updates:
Will be every 2 days, at around 6-7pm. Just check in around then.
To do an update I will need at least 6-7 orders PMed to me. The 6-7 depends on
whether or not there are any battle plans. For Instance: Civ6 attacks Civ7, so I would graciously wait
for Civ7's orders (unless it is a suprise attack and Civ7 is not defending themselves..ie they would have
no reason to move their troops into Civ6's territory or anything).
Units:
Army(ies): 3 gold
Fleets: 5 gold
Movement:
1 movement is from 1 province to another, a new unit being built, a fleet moving from one see to another.
Also, an army being unloaded into a province counts as 1 turn for the army, or defending a province(more below).
ALSO, a new unit may move, it just simply cannot attack
Combat: Values
Army(ies) A(ttack)/D(efense)/M(ovement): 3/5/1
Fleets D/M/B(ombard): 4/1/3
Combat: Bonuses
Defense: +1, this only occurs if the civ sets the army/fleet to defense. For instance, if Civ1 is
at war with Civ2, and Civ1 is going to attack Civ2 in province 1, and Civ2 knows this, Civ2 can set their unit(s)
on defense and get a +1 bonus. Also, a civ can set their units on defense while at peace for a price of 3g per turn,
per unit(Army1 is defense, Army2 is defense = 6g for 1 turn)
Attacking: +1, this is not a +1 for the units attack value, this helps determine battles. See below for details
Suprise Attacks: +1 a/b, If a civ just randomly decides to attack another, and they attack with an army then the
army gets a +1 to it's attack. If Civ1 suprise attacks Civ2 with a fleet then the units get +1 bombard. Keep
in mind that the element of suprise is lost after the initial attack. Combat: Battles:
The outcome of a battle is determined a number of ways.
Land Battles: If Civ1 & Civ2 are at war, and Civ1 has 4 armies in Province1, which borders Province2 that is
owned by Civ2, then Civ1 moves their army into Province2, and Civ2 has 3 armies on defense in Province2...the number
of armies that Civ1 has moved to Province2, +1 for the attack bonus, must be greater than the number of armies Civ2
has in Province2 (3), plus it's defense bonus 4+1=5, 3+1=4. Province 2 is overtaken by Civ1, and Civ2 is sent packing.
The same applies to sea/ocean battles.
Buildings/Improvements
Town Halls: 7 gold(takes up an entire turn of movement orders for an army IN a province, +5g per turn from turn
built)
Barracks: 10 gold(takes up an entire turn of movement orders for an army IN a province, allows you to build
armies in the province, requires a town hall)
Harbors/Docks: 12 gold(takes an entire turn of movement orders for an army IN a province, allows you to build
fleets, can only build these in coastal provinces)
Town: 15 gold (takes an entire turn of movement orders for an army IN a province, +5g per turn from turn built).
Money:
From the get-go every Civ starts with 10g, and a capitol city(but you do not get the city bonus the first turn)
Towns: +5g per turn
Cities: +10g per turn. (cannot be built, upgraded from a town after 10 turns)
Metropolis: +15g per turn. (cannot be built, upgraded from a city after 10 turns AS A CITY)
Provinces: +3g per turn after for every 5 provinces. IE: Civ1 has 5 provinces, they get +3g per turn.
Banking:
A civ is allowed to bank 30g not counting monetary gifts from other civs. If you purposefully set up money
pyramids (IE: Civ1 gives Civ2 10 gold to keep and then later asks for it back...often know as CHEATING THE SYSTEM) I
will find out, and you will lose that amount of gold for EACH civ involved for 2 turns.
Allowed Diplomatic Agreements/Alliances:
ROP, DPP, MPP, DMZ, Trade Embargo, Trades.
Tell me if you think I need to add anything/subtract anything, or just plain shut up....I'll only do this if 6 of the 13 countries are taken.

naervod Nov 25, 2002, 05:54 PM Sounds interesting. I will sign up as Italy since the WW3 NES apparently died. I especially like the interactive map.
Seven-T-Ate Nov 25, 2002, 06:01 PM Ok, hmmm. I need 5 more to begin taking movement orders & such.
.....
Jason The King Nov 25, 2002, 06:05 PM ok, i will take Britain.
May I make a suggestion? How about you make it so a unit can move when it is built, just not attack, so the game speeds up. At least for the begining.
EDIT: also, it will take a while to start up because of your income process...
AnarchyRulz Nov 25, 2002, 06:13 PM I will be Russia.
Seven-T-Ate Nov 25, 2002, 06:25 PM Ok, I changed the Movement rule as per Jason's suggestion. 3 more and this thing can finally start.... .... ...
((edited because I can't type... :crazyeye: ))
Toasty Nov 25, 2002, 09:17 PM I will sign up for Sweden :).
Erik Mesoy Nov 26, 2002, 01:35 AM I am signing up for Turkey!
I am Caliph Abpal Baira!
Heine Nov 26, 2002, 01:37 AM I'l join as King Heine I of Austria.
Seven-T-Ate Nov 26, 2002, 05:15 AM Ok, 6 have signed up. I'll be expecting all orders pm'd in by 7:00PM (EasternStandardTime) Wednesday.
erez87 Nov 26, 2002, 07:47 AM I want to join as germany, but it's look like bombers don't cost nothing, and in the first turn we will not be able to build anything (we don't have barrakse or docks)
Heine Nov 26, 2002, 10:13 AM How much money do we begin with?
Erik Mesoy Nov 26, 2002, 10:37 AM Can you give us some example orders for the first turn? I have no idea what is legal or not!
erez87 Nov 26, 2002, 10:40 AM erik, all i did was building 3 armies and sending them to near by areas, do the same (just bewar not to open war against greece)
Heine Nov 26, 2002, 11:06 AM To Germany:
I want our borders to meet at SWI-MUN and PRA-SIL all areas north of that shall you have and I take south of that.
erez87 Nov 26, 2002, 11:09 AM to austria
from germany
Well we wanted Pra, very much, we would even pay for getting it ourselves, but as we do now want war in the near future we will need to accept, Mun and Sil is ours...
Heine Nov 26, 2002, 11:15 AM To Germany:
Ok, maybe we can change PRAha later for something (have alreay sent order to settle it).
To Germany, Poland and Turkey:
I want to make a alliance with all of you (same rules that in SPA alliance in FRnes, if someone don't know that rules read FRnes) we can call it CPP (Central Power Pact).
Seven-T-Ate Nov 26, 2002, 11:35 AM Example Order:
send (# of armies here) to settle (province name here).
send (# of fleets here) to sea (enter sea name here).
load (# of armies here) into (# of fleets here, or fleet).
[B]Sorry I did not elaborate on settling provinces. It takes at least 1 army to settle a province. If Civ1 has 1 army in Province1, and Civ2 has an army in Province2...then the two Civs can either decide peacefully, or go to war & fight over the province, etc. During a battle to WIN an unclaimed province, the normal combat rules apply.
erez87 Nov 26, 2002, 11:52 AM how much a bomber cost???
Heine Nov 26, 2002, 11:54 AM To S-T-A:
can you please set upp how much money we begin with.
New orders will be sent, becuse of new info
To Germany:
I can give you PRA if you join CPP, but I want HUN and SLO.
erez87 Nov 26, 2002, 11:56 AM we start with 10c
to austria:
ok, we will join the CPP (c++)
Heine Nov 26, 2002, 11:56 AM Sorry I forgott:
To Italy:
You can join CPP since you are a central power.
Seven-T-Ate Nov 26, 2002, 12:14 PM There are no bombers..hence they are not in the unit list.
I received Britain, Austria, and Germany's orders.
Under the Money heading it states that each civ starts with 10g for the first turn, plus a capitol city. The civs do not receive their city bonus though. So, per say if a civ buys 1 fleet and puts it in sea ABC, the fleet costs 5g. They will be left with 5g in their bank. Therefore, at the start of the 2nd turn they will get +10g for each city in their province(s). 5g (in the bank)+10g(for their capitol city)=15g. They do not get an extra +3g bonus because they have not claimed 5 provinces yet. Now, per say..if the civ has claimed provinces ABC, DEF, GHI, HJK, & LMN...then lets say they have 2g in their bank + 10g for their capitol city, +5g for a town in DEF. That's 2+10+5= 17g for that turn. Now say during their next turn they claim province OPQ. They do not receive the 5 province bonus until the next turn. Say they are left with 14g after building an army and claiming OPQ the first turn, then the 2nd turn they have 14g(in their bank)+10g(for their capitol)+5g(for their town in DEF)+3g(for having 5 provinces)=32g. Each civ is only allowed to bank 30g, so therefore they suffer a 2g penalty...and move down to 30gold for the next turn.
I may change this
erez87 Nov 26, 2002, 12:17 PM 1) you have many times the word bomber in your rules...
2) in the map it's writen our capital is a town, so we earn 5c every turn?
3) after 10 turbs a town aoutomaticly turn to city? or we need to pay?
Seven-T-Ate Nov 26, 2002, 12:26 PM 1) i corrected the rules..
2) no, on the map towns are black circles with white fills, capitols are black circles with a DARK gray fll, cities are black circles with black fills, and metropolises are black circles with a LIGHT gray fill. You may need to refresh the page to view the key?? or scroll down the page. I dunno. LOOK
3) A town automatically turns into a city. Though, I may add an option to upgrade a town to a city later on. Still thinking.
erez87 Nov 26, 2002, 12:29 PM 2) i clieck on berlin, and it says it's a town, while to color say it's a city (in 10 turns will it become metropolis?)
Heine Nov 26, 2002, 12:32 PM When will you update?
Seven-T-Ate Nov 26, 2002, 12:46 PM 1) try refreshing the page now, the typo should be corrected?
2) update will be tomorrow at, 6-7PM (Eastern Standard Time IE: Eastern United States) or 22-23 GMT
naervod Nov 26, 2002, 01:20 PM I will join the CPP.
I will be able to send orders until 7-8 EST tonight, so if you could wait until then that would be great, thanks.
Heine Nov 26, 2002, 01:24 PM Good now we are 3 in CPP still waiting on answer from Turkey and Poland.
Erik Mesoy Nov 26, 2002, 09:51 PM A new unit (ie: Civ1 builds an army the first turn...they can't send in their orders as: build 1 army, send it to
Province1. 1 movement is from 1 province to another, a new unit being built, a fleet moving from one sea to another. Also, an army being unloaded into a province counts as 1 turn for
the army, or defending a province(more below). A new unit may move, but it cannot attack/defend on the first turn.
This seems to be a contradiction!
Oh well, might as well send in orders anyway!
And I wish to join the CPP.
naervod Nov 26, 2002, 10:45 PM To: Greece, Turkey, Austria
From: Emmanuel Vicenzini of Italy
Here is my proposal for dividing up the Balkan region:
Italy:Cro, Ser
Greece: The, Alb
Turkey: Bul, Buc
Austria: Hun, Tra
Please tell me what you think. I would like to resolve what could be a territory dispute in what I feel could be a contested region.
clock_tick Nov 27, 2002, 05:50 AM i will be spain ok
Heine Nov 27, 2002, 07:30 AM To Italy:
I will take CRO, that is a borderland for my Capitol
Seven-T-Ate Nov 27, 2002, 08:35 AM Ok, I've update all the duplicate files on my computer, but I'm kind of waiting on orders from Sweden, and Russia.
Naervod, did you receive my reply to your orders???? I need you to confirm my suggestion, or send in new ones.. if you didn't receive my reply, say so and I'll pm you again.
clock_tick Nov 27, 2002, 08:37 AM just a couple of question's
can you build a ship and transport troop's in the same turn
and
can you build a deck and a ship in that deck in the same day
Erik Mesoy Nov 27, 2002, 09:33 AM Just wondering, why does Italy have a claim to the Balkan region?
You can (IMO) have SER, but... .
erez87 Nov 27, 2002, 10:07 AM to Russia (abarchyrullez)
from germany
We think that both of our countries need to sign a NAP ot maybe make a defesive alliance, to defend against the imperialists europians.
clock_tick Nov 27, 2002, 10:48 AM by the way does
no player contry's do anything
naervod Nov 27, 2002, 11:04 AM I got your reply and I replied back.
Seven-T-Ate Nov 27, 2002, 11:06 AM In Response To Clock_Tick:
1)You may build a fleet and transport troops in the same turn
2) No you may not build a dock and build a fleet in the same turn
3) NPC's(NonPlayerCivs) will enter in to sensible DPP's & MPP's etc, they will build towns, & improvements, and they will build armies/fleets, but they will not declare war. Unless of course, someone wants the NPC. Then, it just reverts to a particular person.
Seven-T-Ate Nov 27, 2002, 11:29 AM NPC: Poland

From: Poland
To Germany, Poland and Turkey:
I want to make a alliance with all of you (same rules that in SPA alliance in FRnes, if someone don't know that rules read FRnes) we can call it CPP (Central Power Pact).
Poland welcomes this alliance in hopes that it will balance the political levels in Europe. May our peoples grow for an eternity in peace.
erez87 Nov 27, 2002, 11:58 AM so when there will be an update?
Heine Nov 27, 2002, 12:15 PM Cool, now ALL the central land is in CPP

Britain lays claim to the island in the north known as Iceland.
Britain
Erik Mesoy Nov 27, 2002, 10:06 PM Turkey marks a claim on Tra, Buc, Arm, Kur and Per.
We also wish Gal, Mol, and either Syr or Ira, although those are negotiable.

From: Italy
Please do not advance any farther into Italy.
Also, do I get +10g from my capital in addition to my 4g?
Seven-T-Ate Nov 28, 2002, 09:43 AM naervod, yes, the city bonus is now allowed (after the first turn) so you have 14g to spend this turn
Heine Nov 28, 2002, 12:36 PM I want Bur, Mar, Hun, Slo, Tra and Gal.
To Germany:
Since I gave you Pra I hope you will accept that I take Bur
To Turkey:
Since you will got big areas in North Africa and middle east I will have Tra, but you can take The, buc and Mol in Europe and all land east of you.
To Italy:
I accept your claims
Toasty Nov 28, 2002, 03:59 PM You get no income from a territory that does not have a town/city/metropolis on it?
Seven-T-Ate Nov 28, 2002, 06:23 PM the only income you get from territories is when you reach 5. For each 5 provinces you have, you get a 3g bonus.
Erik Mesoy Nov 29, 2002, 08:07 AM so now we have gotten 10 gold?
naervod Nov 29, 2002, 06:20 PM Is there going to be an update soon?

Many countries gained vast territories this turn, and will be receiving a 3g bonus next turn for having 5 provinces.
There was however a border dispute between the Greeks and the Turks. Greece had moved two armies into the Thessaloniki provinces in southern Macedonia and were welcomed by the native Tessalonian peoples. The Turks, however moved an army into the region as well. Later that evening the two Greek armies ambushed the Turkish army exploring the region. A brief battle followed, in which the Greeks mercilessly slaughtered the Turkish army stationed in the now Greek province.

I'll try to check back in later if anyone has any questions.
((I always forget the stupid bank))
Seven-T-Ate Nov 30, 2002, 03:59 PM From Greece
To Turkey
The Mighty Greecean Democracy formally declares war on the pitiful joke of a nation, Turkey. We shall meet on more battlefields than Thessaloniki.
erez87 Nov 30, 2002, 04:13 PM how france got to Rhi?!
clock_tick Nov 30, 2002, 04:13 PM seven-t-ate could you tell me how much money do i make per turn
erez87 Nov 30, 2002, 04:15 PM clock_tick

erez87 Nov 30, 2002, 04:19 PM S-R-A!!!

Seven-T-Ate Nov 30, 2002, 06:26 PM Whoops, sorry I was planning ahead....Kinda drowsy. I just woke up when I did that *starts erasing* mhm...
((finished fixing))
Jason The King Nov 30, 2002, 06:38 PM I think u forgot my fleet as well.
Jason
Erik Mesoy Nov 30, 2002, 10:55 PM I dont think you are finished fixing. Egypt got Syr and Ira in one turn.
And I have a sense that something isnt right here, with greece attacking me.
OK, 2 on 1, they win, but they should have lost an army if armies are 3/5/1.
AND 3) NPC's(NonPlayerCivs) will enter in to sensible DPP's & MPP's etc, they will build towns, & improvements, and they will build armies/fleets, but they will not declare war. Unless of course, someone wants the NPC. Then, it just reverts to a particular person.
From: Turkey
To: Greece
Just why did you declare war on me? You have doomed yourself.
From: Turkey
To: Italy
I wish an alliance against the evil warmongering greeks. I will be happy to let you have Alb, but I must have The.
From: Turkey
To:Carthage, Egypt and Austria
I seek help against the warmongerers known as Greece. The first to join me in this war may receive Ath as thanks.
I hope this division of land is acceptable...
The to Turkey
Alb to Italy
Ath to whoever jumps in to help first.
Of course, this is all to be disregarded if 78 follows his own rules and take back the greek attack.
Oh, and here I have a quote from my orders:
Build 1 army in my capital Con for 3 gold, move it to The.
Move armies in Bul to Buc, Ank to Arm and Smy to Kur.
This leaves me with 8 gold, no? Bank it.
So I didnt get Buc because of... What?
Seven-T-Ate, do you have a personal dislike of me? Greece has declared war, even though you said NPCs would not do this.
You didnt move my armies to provinces where I said, and Egypt expanded doubly in one turn, in the area I was seeking to claim!
If you do have a personal vendetta going, I advise you to let it rest for this NES atleast.
Jason The King Nov 30, 2002, 11:24 PM Anouncement!
The government of Britain would like to invited the people of Sweden and Germany into an alliance that would be called the North Sea Alliance, or NSA (lol). The alliance would include a regulation that only alliance members may access the North Sea, a regulation on shipping in the North Sea, and mutual protection for all it's members, including military and diplomacy. Also, a Grand Navy and Army of the NSA should be commisioned as peacekeepers of the world, or a bank of contributions from all the members, so when one of the member's needs money, they may use the emergency fund.
Please, respond back to me on the alliance request, I think it could help to bring our nations closer together and help keep Europe safer for it's people to live.
Britain
Heine Dec 01, 2002, 04:42 AM To Turkey:
I can help you against the Greece (Ha, Ha I was first).
clock_tick Dec 01, 2002, 08:39 AM why cant i see the map
and how the Carthage captured so much land
Heine Dec 01, 2002, 08:42 AM Yeah, why cant we see the map, for me it's only: this has grown boring.
erez87 Dec 01, 2002, 09:15 AM This has grown boring.
this is what there is instead of a map...
what that mean?!
Jason The King Dec 01, 2002, 10:34 AM obviously it means seventy-eight has fled because this got boring for him. Man I hate when MOD's leave like this, it pisses me off.
Jason
naervod Dec 01, 2002, 12:46 PM Im quitting, this is really boring and it takes up space on my sig.
Heine Dec 01, 2002, 12:54 PM I quit to.
Erik Mesoy Dec 01, 2002, 01:42 PM Heh. I think 7-t-8 realized he was being stupid when I complained and pointed out his own rules.
Never mind. I am staying, and that leaves me with a walkover victory!
erez87 Dec 01, 2002, 01:48 PM I'm staying too, and I'm bigger...
