I propose that Kells build a library upon completion of the Pikeman, and that Plexenburg do so as well, though that will be some time.

We should build a library and a university :). Both the Libraries and Universities can help with both culture and Science :).

And also thanks for the Deputy Possition :).

I think University would take too long to build in the short term, and that a Temple would provide better culture boost in the necessary time frame.

Most of our tech this game will be acquired via conquest and dealing. Investment in universities should only be done once we have achieve prominent status.

Great news fellow citizens. Kyoto has been liberated from Japanese possession, and is now the third city of Hafen Land.

Congratulations, Bill_in_PDX, for adding the city of Kyoto, with it's mystic ledgends and fabled heroes, to your great Province. Hopefully, I will be visiting this area soon to scout for local talent.

Might I suggest that you discontinue the Pike in Kyoto in favor of a Library? I don't feel too good about Kyoto's current culture situation... If possible, a rush would be nice.

In regards to the citizen arrangement, rather than your suggested citizen locations, I feel that this would be much better as it will allow Kyoto to grow in 7 turns, without sacrificing production:

Plex, Kyoto has a temple rushed, and if we use the GL to build the forbidden palace as we should, then I think culture will not be too big of an issue, though I agree I would like to see a library in our border cities.

Further, without a FP, Kyoto is nearly totally corrupt, so further growth at this point will only result in hiring other entertainers to keep the citizens under control. So I am not sure why we should rush growth.

More growth, the better... If we don't GL rush the FP then this growth will make it um... grow faster.

I agree, but without a marketplace or cathedral, and with the corruption level keeping the city at one shield, further growth is bad.

I have posted a three part poll regarding utilisation of our Great Leader: What should we use Richthoffen for? (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=39230), if the FP, where? (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=39232) and if the Palace, where? (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=39233) Please vote in all these polls ASAP if you wish to make your voice heard before tonight's turn chat! :)

Thanks to being home to the Forbidden Palace in Kyoto, our province is now a very productive center in the nation. We will take the next few queues to build up culture and infrasturcture to support growth, but then we will contribute to the war machine.
