Stuck_as_a_Mac Dec 01, 2002, 04:39 PM Okay.. Civanator..
Any other people interested?
Civ- if no one comes forewards in 24 hours, i will poll you for Deputy Governor.
Stuck_as_a_Mac Dec 01, 2002, 08:17 PM Okay.. Do we have any mayoral candidates?
eyrei Dec 02, 2002, 07:46 AM Why are Strumundrang and Huntington building courthouses? Shouldn't they be building something more immediately useful such as libraries?;)
Stuck_as_a_Mac Dec 02, 2002, 09:41 AM Eyrei- I am yet to modify queues. I plan on starting a discussion later today on possible queues. Libraries are a wonderful idea, seeing as they provide both needed culture and science

cgannon64 Dec 02, 2002, 07:13 PM Can I officially sign up for mayor of Octavianium? I think I've done so already, but scattered over three threads...

Stuck_as_a_Mac Dec 02, 2002, 07:41 PM yes. Welcome, Cgannon. Oh, BTW, howd that PTW game with you on the island end?

If you mean the cgannon64 challenge, uh...bad. I gave up after being behind by a horrible amount. I think Sparrowhawk did the best, something like 8 techs back, conquered two other civs, got off the island. He was going to lose by spaceship soon, I think, and he had no chance of winning, but at least he got off the island. The lack of any good terrain combined with the lack of close islands (you need the Great Lighthouse to get off) makes it nearly impossible.
Anyway, I'll be glad to be mayor. I think I already posted in the Build Queue thread. :)

Civanator Dec 04, 2002, 02:37 PM May I apply for Mayor of Huntington?
FortyJ Dec 04, 2002, 05:26 PM Actually, I'd like to be mayor of Huntington (as I do currently reside there and I did name it :)).
Also, Stuck, please have your deputy register his/her city name preference in the Cartographic Office (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=34519).
Civanator Dec 04, 2002, 05:38 PM I'll change my request to Serenity Instead.
Civanator Dec 04, 2002, 08:11 PM never mind, I am gonna be mayor of Civanatoria.
Stuck_as_a_Mac Dec 04, 2002, 08:21 PM Im Pleased to announce 40 as mayor of Huntington.
And 40: no deputy yet. Still looking for people
Stuck_as_a_Mac Dec 06, 2002, 04:39 PM Okay.. so the queues will remain the same for the next TC. I figure, if lucky, we can reach the next few TCs using them.
Donovan Zoi Dec 07, 2002, 05:56 PM Governor SaaM,
As acting Military Leader, I request that you change build queue instructions for the city of Huntington. In order to keep tabs on our new enemy Persia, I would like to send a galley down the gulf's western coast to monitor any naval encroachment on their part so we can have time to prepare for an attack.
Huntington is currently producing a library. While I am aware of our dire need for culture, I request that you change production to galley and have it rush built for 72g. Then you can continue the queue as planned. For expediency, I will post the budget request for your approval. Thank you.
Donovan Zoi Dec 07, 2002, 06:20 PM Here's a link to the Budget Office request (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?postid=639799#post639799)
Stuck_as_a_Mac Dec 07, 2002, 06:50 PM Donovan: I have been working with CT on this, And we have decided that the city of Penguin is going to become a Naval Production city. However, to go along with your request, I will ask for the rush and then put a library in.
FortyJ Dec 08, 2002, 01:58 AM As Mayor of Huntington, I must protest. We are the front line of defense against a Persian invasion from the south and we are garrisoned with only one defender. To make matters worse, our current build queue will not add a second defender for many, many turns to come.
Please preempt the build queue to add additional defenders as they will help keep those immortals at bay.
Plexus Dec 08, 2002, 02:22 AM Hey SAaM, isn't Ganges also under AI control? :)
Goonie Dec 08, 2002, 08:18 AM Hi,
May I apply for mayor of Sturmandrang? PM me please with answer ;)!
Stuck_as_a_Mac Dec 08, 2002, 08:36 AM Forty: Lemme see.. You have a point there. Forgot that they could strike a sea/land invasion from HUntington.
Plex: Yea. If Site Q becomes a city, Im pumping culture in there to see if we can get Ganges or any other AI cities to flip.
Goonie: Why not? Welcome to Rhineland
Stuck_as_a_Mac Dec 08, 2002, 08:50 AM Forty: Pikes in queue. Ill remove the galley which you rejected.
Stuck_as_a_Mac Dec 08, 2002, 06:42 PM I am pleased to report the founding of the city "Grandmastoria" and its becoming of a Rhineland city.
Grandmaster Dec 12, 2002, 07:06 PM SaaM: If you need a mayor for Grandmastoria, you know where to find me. :)
Goonie Dec 12, 2002, 07:22 PM See my proposed change to the build qeue at Sturmandrang
here (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=39056).
Stuck_as_a_Mac Dec 13, 2002, 01:09 PM Grandmaster: was waiting for you to volenteer :)
Goonie: see my reply in that thread.
Grandmaster Dec 13, 2002, 02:26 PM Funny, I can't ever remember seeing a city named after a citizen being ruled by a different citizen.... strange..... :)
Stuck_as_a_Mac Dec 13, 2002, 02:35 PM Lemme see.... Im mayor of penguin. Strider/Striders Haven
Morgana! Ekles pick, ran by Dis
Grandmaster Dec 13, 2002, 02:37 PM Yeah, Morgana doesn't have Elkek's name in it. Therefore, it doesn't apply. :)
FortyJ Dec 13, 2002, 10:44 PM The Cartographic Office would like to remind you that you have the option of appointing a deputy governor for this province, with the approval of the citizens, of course. ;)
This appointee should also register his or her name choice for the Registry of City Names with our office (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=34519).
Stuck_as_a_Mac Dec 14, 2002, 08:44 AM Yea, 40. Still need one. THE JOB IS STILL AVAILIBLE

Cyc Dec 23, 2002, 02:24 AM Sir Stuck, due to the loss of one of our lux's (Dyes, I believe), citizen workers were turned into entertainers in Serenity. The trouble has passed and if you put those two entertainers back to work in the open plains, the next growth cycle will take place at the same time the Marketplace is complete (8 turns), allowing Serenity to become an even more productive city than it already is. Thank you.
Stuck_as_a_Mac Dec 23, 2002, 03:50 PM Cyc: will do.
