Well I just had an adventurous 1555 AD win as Gandhi. At times I thought it was my worst played game. Oracle went before it was in my dreams. Lost the Taj by 1 turn. No Mauso. Only won the lib race because Vicky went economics/corporation. WvO tried to backstab me and failed. Joao kicked my teeth some, taking my National Epic city. And yet ...

I was a little puzzled by your opponent choices in this game. Wouldn't you want to limit yourself to opponents who do not DOW at pleased? I focused on leaders with a low Wonder prob, atheistic tendencies and no backstabbing (Churchill, DeGaulle, Hannibal, Mansa, Wang Kon and Saladin). I didn't get a good finish date because I overpowered Delhi, which hit 50K :culture: way too quickly, but I REXED peacefully to nine cities and had smooth diplo the entire game.

It would have been smarter but I have yet to memorize the AI tendencies. I did get revenge on Joao by bribing him to peace with less than 10 turns to go.

Ha! So I've been needlessly copying your leader starts for other challenges. However, you must be doing something right with your ridiculous finish dates. Admittedly, I don't have the tendencies memorized either, I have them printed out, but refer to the sheet constantly.:D

I person probably doesn't have to be too precise with AI choices at a lot of levels. Go with something familiar.
