I just bought the European edition of PTW. After installing it I offcourse immediately wanted to try it out.

Unfortunately after selecting the game and during loading I got an error message saying "LOAD ERROR, File not found, 'sounds\build\Ancient\AncORFull.mp3', The game will now exit" .

The funny thing is that in that folder on CD the file is there but spelled just a littlebit differently. Instead of AncORFull.mp3 there is a file named AncORfull.mp3.

A typical case of upercase/lowercase typo I would say.

Can anybody help me with this problem?

I've had this problem too. In Civ3 files, everything matters: capitalization, puncuation, spaces, everything. My problem was that there was a space in the wrong spot in Knight Death.wav

Anyway, go the the .INI file for the unit, building, or whatever. Look for the name of the file you want in there, and look at how it is spelled exactly. Then go to the unit, building, or whatever, and change the spelling of it to the same spelling as in the .INI file.

Example:

.INI says: Knight Death. wav (coding gibberish)
My File says: KnightDeath.wav
THIS WILL NOT WORK

.INI says: Knight Death.wav
My File says: Knight Death.wav
THIS WILL WORK

Its a little typo, but it matters.
