Anyone know the size of a WWI fighter squadron? (Men-Planes-Trucks and the like for German-French-British units)

I have searched google for HOURS and have found very little on the specifics of my subject.

Any links would be helpful! :D

Hmm having read many Biggles books I still cannot tell you :p

I 'think' each squadron has 3 flights...A, B, C. Each flight has 3 planes. ://

Remember those back issues of the General FF?

Mick Uhl wrote extensive designer's notes of Knights of the air, you may find the info you need there. ;)

That's Right! But sadly I don't have the darned copies that I need. I've looked through the Richtofen's War designer notes too and never came up with any specific numbers.

Got a roundabout year those things came out AoA? :cute:

I have the issue, but you'll have to wait till I get home.

The year was the early 90s I think.

Have you tried posting this question on one of the WW-1 specialist fora? Try www.theaerodrome.com, for example. If someone somewhere knows, that would be a good place to start. Another place might be the "League of WWI Air Historians" (I think that's the name) at www.overthefront.com; again, I think they have a forum or Q&A section there too.

Good luck.
