Hi, I have noticed that people say to upgrade to 1.29f and 1.14f before they play. When I bought PTW, I did a fresh install of Civ 3, the installed PTW and applied the 1.14f patch. Was I supposed to patch Civ3 to 1.29f before I installed/patched PTW? Thanks.

Don't think so or rather I would expect not. I would expect the PTW disc to patch it to 1.29 for you if it is necessary. Have you checked your vanilla civ3 version already. Could be PTW made it 1.29 anyway.

PTW does not patch CivIII to 1.29.

But it doesn't matter in which order you install the individual patches, as long as you have both.

Well, either PTW does, or one of the PTW patches does, because
my CivIII is now at 1.29, whereas before it was at 1.16.

Hmmm, I had to actually dl 1.29 AFTER I had 1.14f installed.

Strange.

I've got the UK version, which shows as 1.01f. Do I have to wait for a patch or has it been pre-patched to an acceptable level?
Edited to add: I don't have the ability to set up a direct ip game, so I guess I'll have to wait.

This is not true. PTW does patch Civ III to 1.29.

Strange, considering, I had to patch from 1.21 to 1.29 myself AFTER installing PTW.

Hmmmm....

I'm patched up to 1.29f in Civ 3 already. I'll let you know how I get on with the PTW patch.
