As incredible as it may sound, what if the tradition of eating human meat was still being done in China?
Such thing shows up in the official record 220 times. (That's only officially recorded ones.)
The first record of this is of a woman who killed a man who had killed her son, and made him into dish and forced his son to eat it.
The founder of Confucianism, Confucis, enjoyed human meat as well, and he couldn't have a meal without a human meat dish. When one of his disciples got executed and was served to him, after being made into a dish, only then did he stop eating human.
During Song dynasty, a book was written on how to cook human, and also, Marco Polo records, after being in China, about the human-eating tradtion.
The law that prohibited human meat was made during Song dynasty, but it was not obeyed and human meat could easily be bought throughout Ming and Ching dynasties.
It's quite recently that this custom dissapeared. (Or who knows?)
It's pretty incredible that, with that kind of culture and civilization, a barbaric tradition like this was in China.
Quite scary.

Interesting. Do you have any details on the book?

Yuck. This really isn't appropriate. I seriously doubt that Confucius advocated cannibalism. As for these 'records,' Marco Polo also said that he saw dragons in China. Sounds like you found this weird information from somebody who has a serious prejudice against Chinese people.

I'm fairly incredulous about this. I want sources.

Its barbaric from your point of view yes, but if it was a tradition in china once and for them it was like eating pork. Also why not, China has some big problems with over-population, if cannibalism where made legal in china it could really solve many problems.

I also have never heard of this.

I'll leave the thread open in the hope that someone can provide proof, but if I don't see proof, it will be closed.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm, human!

I will admit I have had a few stomach turns at "genuine" chinese meals but it was always the terrible s*** they did with bean sauces poured over perfectly good seafood that did it to me; so with that in mind I have a hard time believing this one...

I don't have anything against China, as you can see, I said China has incredible civilization.
Yet I'm quite intrigued at this kind of barbarism, (Well it IS barbarism. For some of you who thinks it's okey.)
while also having one of the greatest achievements and civilization in the world.

Well, the thread starter posted again without providing proof, so that is that.
