Quite a while lol

FF 1 for Nintendo,

FF 2 and 3 for SNES,

and Chrono Trigger for SNES (I consider it part of the family :))

are the best FF's ever in my opinion

from 7 on are all good games but they are too mainstream and they lost the magic of the originals.

I don't need them under my tree I already got them all ;) and and beat em all.
but I must recomend that you play one a time. its eaiser to follow the plots that way and its Interesting having many good games and trying to resist playing some. ;)

Oh God, I hate numbers 7,8,9 etc.. Death of the series, Im set with the old school 2,3,5,6 and CT.

I never said any of the plots are related ;) but playing an RPG is like watching a movie, Its not to good fun to watch them at the same time.
I mean say you get to Ultro's in FF6/3 and then you start FF8 and just get to the Garden wars, then when you play FF6/3 again you thinking, OK what was I going to do? and why? I played a saved game I had from FF7 like about a year ago and I had no Idea where in the game I was, or what I was about to to.
I meant its best to focus on one plot at a time, so you don't forget much and miss out on some of the game.
the only one thing that might get really confusing if you play all the games at once is that a lot of names get reused a lot.
like Cid who is usually always a Enginer
or Biggs and Wedge who are grunts in some army.

Amen to that, i also have Final Fantasy 1 for NES, i'd like to get 2 and 3 for my SNES, i love FF7 and 8. I had them but wasn't ever able to get far in them do to an accident and the CDs being destroyed :(

I have FF1j-6j, 9j, and FF1, FF2(SNES), FF6-9. I didn't even like FF8, some scenes went on FAR too long, too many FMVs, and I felt forced into the next "scene". I've played about 30 minutes of FFX, and that one feels like a movie! Bleech!

I'm gunna be looking for FF2 and 3 soon. I have some disposable income, so I think they may be a good investment. I love the SNES for RPG's. I think its the best RPG platform made. Yea better than CPU's easily. But CT is part of the family as AK put it. It cost me $50 to get it used. But it was well worth it. That game is the crown of the SNES.

I thought you probably had it too... ;) But, you should get it - I think it's the best of the PSX series... (though, not as good as the SNES ones, save for FF5).

I am so disenheartened. I have to find a store in which they sell used SNES games. I realy realy realy want FF3 and then FF2. I have Chrono Trigger and it took me so long to get it. I thought i found a store that would have it, but they just dupmed their stash of used SNES games a few weeks ago :eek:. So now i have nothing to do but :cry: :cry: :cry:

looks like its Ebay for me, even though i hate going through ebay for cartrige games as i've seen enough broken cartriges at my friends house. NO, I SHALL RESIST. I SHALL HUNT TO THE FAR ENDS OF VANCOUVER FOR THOSE GAMES.

Yea those games are getting tough to find now, as only a few good SNES games are still floating around the stores, Im looking for Final Fight2 for the SNES and its a tough one to find, "We should have never sold it off way back when" :(

have u looked at Amazon?

I don't want to get any used cartidges over the net. I'd only get new ones, and i doubt there are any new FF3 and FF2 games lying around. If its used its too much of a hastle if it breaks down. I haven't had any of my cartridges stop working, however, my friends have had theirs stop working. And i don't know how the sell treats their games.
