UPDATE 07-Feb-2004

Yup, hereīs the Tornado multi role aircraft. The zip contains two versions, of the attack version, one in greenish camo, similar to the german Luftwaffe, the other in desert camo like those RAF Tornados in the gulf war. Hope you like it.

Do you have anything else in the works?

Well, I make a big X-COM mod, if you know these games...

Beside this, I have no other units in the works currently, but sooner or later Iīll do new stuff :)

COoooOol:)

Could you make a desert colour version as well? I thought that looked pretty cool as well.

Also, one question....Is the front end wider than the back end? Im not sure it should be....but other wise very cool.

Well, from what I saw on the pics I found here: http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/row/tornado.htm the back end is indeed smaller, at least not as broad as the intakes of the engines.

To the desert version - does someone has a pic of this (I assume RAF-) color scheme? Is it just sand brown or how does is look?

Since thereīs also a request for the greener German version, I could perhaps make them both together. With some luck the amount of work isnīt that big, I hope to solve that with some simple color manipulations in my imgage processing software...;)

Desert RAF and Luftwaffe versions. I īthink Iīll not include the RAF sign and the Luftwaffe cross on the wings, because on that size, they would hardly be visible...

Wicked...youre' probably right about the insignia thing...would look cheesy if they were upsized so that you could see them

Ive also managed to include both the tornado and the harrier in my games - Harrier comes along at the same time as jet fighters, while I'm replacing the stealth fighter with the tornado (even though it hasn't got stealth abilities)

This way I'm making England a more enjoyable civ to play :)
stoopid man-o-wars...

Now Id like a variant on the modern infantryman, kitted out with more camo and an SA80 (or ...yknow, the modern british rifle)

Be patient, and perhaps Santa Klaus-Balou will bring your modern English Infantry... But with some delays, he has other to finish first

I just released the sandbrown desert version of the RAF :)

The link to the download is now in the first post of this thread. I donīt post a new preview, since the anims are exactly the same, only in another color scheme (look at the most recent preview pic). Have fun! :)

P.S. Luftwaffe version will follow in the next days...;)

Finally, the green camo German Luftwaffe version is finished. I had some trouble getting the colors/palette right. I also cheated a bit with the death anim, because I was a bit too tired to make a completely new anim, so I modified the jetfighter death anim.

However, you can dl this version now from the first post in this thread...:)

hey bebro, next time u do an air unit, would u like me to do the shadow? im told im pretty good at it, if u look at CDGs website where dannyevilcat has his F4 phantom preview i did shadows for that, just asking if you want me to or not

BeBro
Jan 11, 2003, 02:09 PM
Well, to be honest all my jets so far used the shadow from the civ3 jetfighter. When I started creating them, I hadnīt figured out how to deal with the shadows without messing up the palette. Meanwhile I know this, but since I started these units with the old method I decided to stay with it until theyīre finished. Perhaps I make updates of my jets with correct shadows later.

So thanks for your offer, but I think my new jets will have much better shadows...;)

Oh, but the F4 looks great there :goodjob:

There is a major update for this unit now available in the first post.

The zip includes both the Green Luftwaffe version, and RAF version in desert camo.

The second post of this thread has a new preview of the Luftwaffe version, attack anim.

Here's a preview of the new RAF version, death anim:

Bebro, you are the greatest :D

Btw, I have still some size problems with your F22, it is too big. Maybe, if you donīt know what to do ;), you could fix this.
And i would be very delighted if you could bring us a modern russian tank as the T-72 or higher.
