2-0 Yey!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

20' Goal by Juan Sebastian Veron turnig home Sholes' low cross after Arsenal lost possession in a dangerous area just outside their box. There are a few question marks though. First, Van Nistelrooy looked to have handled before releasing Scholes, who looked as though he might have been o

What was that Mr Wenger....you DIDN'T say that you would go unbeaten all season? I could swear you did? :hmm:

Oh and that petty attempt at mind games by saying United werent your biggest threat? Oh, I get it you meant Leeds! :p

Oh i love it when we win! :D  So happy!

Why I hate them?

I hate Manchester because a friend of mine is obsessed of it, so I always hoped it lost.
I don't like Arsenal because I like Chelsea instead, and because there's a player named DENNIS BERGKAMP

willemvanoranje
Jan 18, 2003, 04:54 AM
 what the hell did he do to you (Bergkamp)?

Dell19

I was wondering that, I don't remember him scoring any crucial goals against Italy...

willemvanoranje
Jan 18, 2003, 06:30 AM
exactly....:S against Argentina he did....maybe it's because of his Internazionale days, but those were the worst days of his career.

Rhye
Jan 18, 2003, 07:56 AM
In fact when there was Italy-Holland in Euro 2000 I was relaxed because he played :)
I hate him as an Inter supporter. He should have been a champion who lead us to victory; he only demostrated how 22 billon of old liras can be wasted.
I can't forgive him a free kick from the edge of the penalty area gone......guess where......outside from the throw-in line

willemvanoranje
Jan 18, 2003, 11:17 AM
noooo, he didn't show how money can be wasted, he showed how talent can be wasted in inter's catenaccio play.

Rhye
Jan 18, 2003, 06:29 PM
Inter didn't play catenaccio.
He definitely SHOWED his talent missing the easiest goals, missing penalties, kicking free kicks 1km away from the goals, doing wrong passages, and collecting a lot of bad marks on every newspaper. Believe me.

willemvanoranje
Jan 19, 2003, 09:36 AM
 italian teams always play catenaccio compared to other european teams (ok, maybe not AC Milan). Anyway, you hate Bergkamp for his failure at Inter, but you can't deny he's a real deal world class player.

Rhye
Jan 19, 2003, 03:05 PM
Italy plays catanaccio.
Most italian team don't play catenaccio.
Anyway, catenaccio or not catenaccio, he proved to be a real fake.
If you've doubt concact me on ICQ #77282794, I'll send you a nice collection of Bergkamp tecnique (about 10MB, divX)

No offense intended, but that's just a load of crap!
Bergkamp was one of the best players in the world in the late nineties! He failed at Inter because of the teams absolute refusal to send more than two players over midfield! He was great at Arsenal before Henry became the megastar that he is now.
You go watch the goal he made in the quarterfinals of the WC98 against argentina! That was the most amazing goal of the tournament!
Italian teams only play defense, that's why foreign offensive players often fail to shine there....

This doesn't make sense. Missing the easiest of the goals has nothing to do with he tactical aspect

Jan 20, 2003, 07:14 AM
Well Rhye, Bergkamp may hve failed in Italy for reasons that don't matter now, but you can't deny that he is a fantastic player and a joy to watch in Arsenal, Ajax or the dutch national team.

Of course it does! He simply wasn't happy in Italy because of the playing style. And if you're not happy for two years your play is bound to suffer... Face it man, Italian footbal is only defense and incredibly boring.

but missing the easiest of the goals, as you say it, does have to do with overall quality? Because he had bad moves at Inter, where he couldn't get into his play because of the lack of an offensive style and backup, just because of that he is a sh!t player, eventhough he proved his value at every other occation with every other team?

hehe. Ok, maybe, I think I would just see a star in trouble and I'd feel sorry for him while others, especially Inter fans see the biggest failure around (which I can understand).

wuhahahaha you're funny :p  Argentina had one of the finest defences back in '98, and this season and last season Bergkamp has scored some impressive goals against big teams with great defences.
