First time Civ player here. I don't play multiplayer because I'm still very new to the game, so I play with a bunch of AIs.

Here's somethings I don't understand...
AI Civ comes up and asks me to form a Pact of Coop.
I say yes.
Later they ask me to attack another AI Civ.
I say yes.
Next they call me a warmonger (I haven't attacked ANYTHING yet), and ends the Pact.
Next turn they Thank me for the Pact of Coop Secrecy we had going on.

WT F????!!?!?

Another situation:
Alaxander Civ ask me to wage war on another AI.
I say I don't want to be apart of it.
The next turn, I say okay, I'll wage war so I go to Alaxander and ask him if he wants to wage war on the same AI.
He says no.

WTFF??

Another situation:
I wage war on one City State and one other Civ wages war on me.
Then next turn, EVERYONE else wages war on me.

I don't understand... these AIs aren't consistent at all. They seem very random. They want this then next turn they want something totally different. The trading system with the AI are sometimes just outrageous.

I do have one question. If a AI Civ is angry at me but I want to friend him to Pact Coop and have them actually attack another country with me, how do I go about doing it? I once gave Russia 1500 gold for free and she still wouldn't consider me as a "friend".

I it's reasonable for a Civ to change it's mind about going to war from one turn to the next. It may have made alternative arrangements now with another Civ to go to war against someone else or entered into a trade agreement with the Civ it didn't think it could conquer wihtout you.

I don't think that's what is happening though.

Starting to think that as lame as knowing the exact point values for the AI actions and diplomacy decisions was it may be more fun.

That or give them a history we can go off of. Don't make them able to go from allied for 2000 years to enemies. It isn't fun.

Yes I know human players do that, and if you must make it so that your armies suffer a -XX% when attacking a previous friendly state unless declared upon.
