Results of QSC13 (the Quick Start Challenge competition for GOTM13) are now official and posted for you to review and discuss.

The top point scorers were:

"Pacesetter" awards for the game are granted to - Quokka, Propain, and PhilMartin who all followed different strategic approaches that did not rely on early great leaders.

The results website include a lots of interesting information and a number of special recognition features.

We would also like to recognized the following special award winners selected from the the content of the submitted timelines and save game files:

The “Warmonger’s golden erection award” - PhilMartin for 550 points (heavily powered by 2x as many swordsmen as the next nearest competitor)

The “I Cramus Maximus award” – PhilMartin with a 12.6 average tiles per town ratio
The “Shoot one’s self in the foot award” – ASE with a coupon for a free pre-need funeral consultation
The “Love Canal award” – Shaka "AKA Soren" the Zulu for this particularly crappy desert rathole of a 2nd city location:

Great work compiling all this! *Busy downloading saves*

I just hope that "TBD" status isn't permanent. :(

Thanks to Cracker and everyone involved for a job well done!:goodjob: I'm sure you spent countless hours to create that result page. The details were stunning! You even have time to include a comparison chart at the bottom too. I'm just too impress to talk much at the moment.

High priestess?

Last time I checked Pyzillazuma should be a High Priest:lol:

Good summaries. I see I have a lot of improvement to do in my opening

Baritone Voice the Clouds: A sex change operation has been performed on your behalf. It was the Aztec ceremonial garb that confused the scribes. ;)

Hi cracker,

Thanks for the qsc initiative. It helped me to slow down and think more during the initial stage of the game. I won't be able to finish most of the GOTM due to time constrains, but comparing my initial moves with some other players will definitely help me to improve my game.

Well, what to say.
I just found the time to give a look at the QSC results, threads and timelines...

I am impressed. I regret not submitting earlier... I definitely will in the coming events!

In the meanwhile, congratulations to all the Quick Starters, and especially to Ronald and Col who earn honours both in the Tournament and in the GOTM... :goodjob: !
