View Full Version : AoM Unit Converter
computerdude113 Dec 23, 2002, 12:58 PM I'm looking for an Age of Mythology converter so we can get some of the AoM units into Civ3. My questions are A) Would I be able to use the AoE and AoK converters and if so, where can I find them. B) If I can't do that, can someone make a converter for AoM?
Thanks!
Yoda Power Dec 23, 2002, 03:04 PM It will be hard to make, the units in AoM are 3d.
computerdude113 Dec 23, 2002, 04:36 PM I know, I have the game, but aren't hte units we make 3D units on a 2D platform? Am I missing something?
The units are 3D, but so are most of the units for Civ3, right?

Are you sure? I think they are just like cartoons, frame by frame aso..
computerdude113 Dec 23, 2002, 06:54 PM Yoda, the units in Civ3 are flics, this means all the animation is in an animated picture format. If we can get a 3D from AoM or whatever the animation format is, we would be able to convert it to a Civ3 Flic. There is no way that the units are based in a 3D format and whenerer you do something, the 3D is changed to it's next state. That would take WAY to long and would be a pointless addition. There needs to be some type of animation in the game, we just need to find it and see if we can make them into Civ3 units.
PCHighway Dec 23, 2002, 11:39 PM The only person who has a AoE converter, is JimmyH, and I doubt he would give it to you. Also, It wouldn’t work with AoM. You have to download Mod pack studio, at AoK Heaven (http://www.worldatlas.com/webimage/countrys/namerica/naoutl.htm). In order to get AoK images, you have to wait for a AoM MPS, I think That should help.
computerdude113 Dec 24, 2002, 01:12 PM Cool. thanks for the help.
Hopefully that will be made soon so we can get some of the units into the game!
