I'm in the middle of a PBEM game with a player who is on AOL. We've had all sorts of problems on his end with AOL ending up with save files as *.mim attachments. - He has tried to send them through winzip with no success.

Zipping the files sometimes helps - but sometimes not.
Most reliable has been for me to post zipped games at a slap-dashed web site I put up - but this is a moderate pain compared to just emailing the file.

Opponent always sends .sav files back to me which I receive and use without any problems.

Any work arounds to suggest?

Do you have MSN messenger? It has a file transfer facility, which I expect would work just fine for .SAV files. The alternative is to sign up for a freebie email account with Yahoo or Hotmail or someone.
