After seeing so many good units that people made, I decided to try my hand at it. I used Rhino to make the model but it didn't seem to come out quite right. The colors (especially blue) didn't transfer to Civ's palette very well after I rendered and it's difficult to see where parts of the plane start and end. So, I'm not sure how happy I am with what I have so far. I wouldn't mind some constructive criticism or some opinions on how to improve it as I'm not sure it looks good enough to finish right now.

Oh yeah, I know the shadow is wrong, I haven't adjusted it yet. And also, the blue color is changed depending on the civ you are playing. I'm not sure how I feel about that, is there anyway you can force that color in the game?

It may not be what you intended, but I like it alot:eek: can you lighten the palette in rhino before exporting it? maybe that's all you need to do:confused: I like it dark though [pimp] very stealthy;)

Thanks. I tried a couple things to make it lighter but they didn't seem to work very well. It does look pretty good gray, but I do want it black, it just seems to look undefined. I guess it's just a limitation of it being so small.

I agree, you cant get enough detail on your lovely units. I like the unit the way it is, does look very stealthy. I would like to see a preview of this ingame to see how it goes. But no rush, take your time...:D

Yeah, the darkness isn't a nice thing. Perhaps some camoflauge or something would do the trick.

One made, you could take the storyboard into photoshop and lighten the colors some, then remake the PCX. That would give 2 versions of it. If you dont, I could do it for you.

Hmm, I hate to say it but I've put this aside and don't know if I'll ever finish it. :( I've been trying to work on some other things.
