I just love it when times are tough for certain people, because they get DESPERATE.

Did they have no recollection of the last time? Had they not heard of it? Nevertheless, I love watching people suffer (physically and emotionally) so I decided to move to another urban area- of course, in a different disguise- and run the same test again. Promising people endless fortune, blah, blah, blah, but, I wanted to do it differently. I like seeing how the human mind ticks, so I'm not going to do the test the same way every time... I'm going to give one of them ultimate knowledge... and the rest get nothing...

Welcome to civplayah's Experimental Mafia II! The story is a continuation of last game's as you probably gathered from the above text. If you didn't understand any of it (because I just jotted down what I think the main character would have felt), the main character is not human, he loves killing people, and this is his second 'game', where he promises endless fortune to some people if they play a quick game of Mafia. But, he ends up killing them all. :p

This is going to be a fun game (for me, at least) because like its predecessor, it's got a big twist. Standard mafia rules apply.

You will vote on who you think will be the mafia. The person with the most amount of votes will die. If it's a tie, no one dies. You may abstain or vote for a person, but that's it. Vote for a person in this format:

There will be 48-hour day phases and 24-hour night phases, and you'll need both phases, unlike the last game, where the night phase was totally unnecessary.


Every person has to vote abstain or vote for a person. If you don't vote for two game days, you're out.

When you receive a role PM, it'll tell you your alignment and abilities. "Innocent" wins by killing all the mafia, "Mafia" wins by surviving long enough so they outnumber "Innocent".

Above all, have fun, and I'm going to go ahead and tell you now, most of you will have different roles. :p

Oh yeah, one more thing- FOLLOW WHAT YOUR ROLE PM SAYS! IF YOU BREAK THE RULES OUTLINED, THE GAME IS RUINED FOR EVERYONE!

I'm sorry- due to rl issues I couldn't get on yesterday (stupid religion), but I will start the game.


I get bored of the same thing over and over again. I think I'll put the weapons in two of the participants' hands.

The participants walked into the main hall. It was a large chamber, with just a few bedrooms and a small nook that is supposed to be a kitchen. The architecture is plain. There are hardwood floors that have been bleached to look white. There are very solid, sturdy oak walls that have been painted a tan, sort of off-white color. In the main chamber, there isn't much furniture. There's a small couch with room for only about two grown people. There's a coffee table with coasters and today's news on it. Everyone eyed the room. Some people preferred to isolate themselves, and headed to their bedrooms. Others made small talk, and socialized with their killers, possibly.

"Attention, everyone!" I said. "I wanted to thank you all for participating in this. I like seeing how your mind works when you're all 'stressed out' or whatever. But, whenever you have doubts, just think of the monetary reward. So, who do you think is the killer?

I don't see any other practical reason for the game why he wouldn't be--I don't think the game will be designed so that characters can just willy nilly show back up after some time. At the very least, if the next night has a similar description of a disappearance rather than a death I really would be hard pressed to guess a game mechanic where they would still be alive but not have anything useful to contribute. We've seen mechanics with the living dead before in the shading NOTW (forgot the name) and I doubt this is the experiment.

If we find a body next night (confirmed death) but a disappeared Camikaze then something would be up.

So, at this time, I'd like to press Domination3000 to play more logically/rationally.

It seems that since Takhisis was talking the most, he must be the killer! Everyone decided to bandwagon him, while he tried to defend himself. Unfortunately, it was in vain. Everyone went back to their rooms for the night, except for Takhisis and civplayah, but only because civplayah had to dispose of Takhisis' body.

Takhisis was innocent, and a very great asset to the town!

It is quite surprising how often it is true. It does not mean the third on a bandwagon is always scummy but does mean that the town is not doing their job if they don't at least grill them a little bit, perhaps make them sweat and see how they react.

It appears as though part of the experiment is for whether we lynch mgs or not. It looks like he may well be a jester. The only lead I have is that Kennigit died last night, and he had voted for Domination yesterday. Therefore I will Vote: Domination3000 and see his reaction.

civplayah once again emerged from his room, to find an argument going on about who should be the next to die- Darth Caesar or DaveShack. Both had cases against them, but neither really lined up a defense.

'So, town. It's getting kinda down to the wire. There's still a killer out, and you don't want to kill any more innocents. Since you, as a group, cannot decide between these two gentleman, I'll decide myself.' He pulled out a coin. 'Call it in the air, Darth.'
civplayah threw the coin into the air. At the peak, Darth Caesar yelled 'Heads!'. civplayah caught the coin, flipped it over onto his wrist and proclaimed that it was, in face, tails. 'Goodbye,' he said as he pulled out his gun, shot Darth Caesar, and went outside to dispose of the body.

After a brief night, everyone awoke to the sound of civplayah opening the exit to throw the next body into the dumpster. In retrospect, he thought, this isn't a very subtle way to hide a crime. Oh, well. I'll be out of here soon, if this group keeps it up.

It had been a hard couple of weeks. So many had died under my hand. I loved it! Watching them writhe in pain and stress, wow! It was exhilarating!

But, like all the good things in life, this came to an end. They had followed the late Takhisis' suspicions and gone after DaveShack, believing that he had was the final killer they had been searching for for so long. Everyone agreed that DaveShack was the final killer, except the man himself, of course. When I saw that everyone had ganged up against him, I pointed a gun to his head and asked for his weapon. He dropped it. Upon seeing this, it was very clear that DaveShack was the final mafia. So, I shot him.

Like after all my games, I had to escape quickly before anyone reported me to the police. So, I made a quick getaway, and had my mask and clothes sent to a crematorium while I donned a new disguise. I don't think I'm gonna be doing this killing stuff anymore, though. I'd rather sit at home and watch drama shows.

I just wanted to see how he would react, and how you guys would react to him. I don't think it was as fun as the last one, but it was still nice.

That explains why he was always suspicious of Dave, I guess.

I was the cop. I scanned, in order, tailless (innocent), robbiecon (mafia), DrumStudent (innocent), and mgs (innocent)

I mainly only scanned robbiecon because Takhisis suggested it, although I'd gotten a bit suspicious of him by that point, too. Plus, if he was a mafia, I wasn't going to let him crush us all and win yet again. :p Then I tried to figure out how to vote for him without revealing myself as a cop, and ended up using the third-vote rule as an excuse. If I thought I needed to, I would have revealed, but I managed to avoid doing that, thankfully.

By day 3, I'd managed to eliminate everyone but DaveShack and DarthCaesar as likely suspects, with a slight possibility of mgs being a mafia. Caesar was lynched, mgs was scanned innocent, and DaveShack was left as the only possible mafia candidate left. Well, it could have been Ras, I guess, but only if robbie was allowed to send kill orders for his inactive mafia partner while dead. It couldn't have been classical, since he'd voted for robbie, and Domination was acting way too much like a clueless townie to be anything but a clueless townie.

Well done town!

The GM comment after lynching Takhisis was a giveaway that a power role of some kind had been eliminated, but he was successful enough creating vague suspicion that it didn't matter.
