I just got CIV 3

Oops. I accidentally posted before I finished writing.

My question is: is it possible to play CIV 3 multiplayer on mac? Do I have to install a patch? Is there a patch? All I want is to be able to play against a human opponent (using the same computer, not through the internet). Is it possible? Thanks for any help.

Sorry to say, but, AFAIK, there is no way to play multiplayer civ 3 on a Mac. In order to play multiplayer civ 3 to begin with, you need the 'Play the World' expansion pack. Unfortunately, it hasn't come out for Mac yet, although I believe they have plans for a port. From what I've heard, though, the Multiplayer is extremely slow/buggy, so it might be good that they haven't released it for Mac yet. Might give them a chance to fix all the bugs before the release.

And, DnG is right. We'll have to wait for the PTW Mac version which has been given the okay by Infogrames, but there has not been an official announcement by MacSoft yet.

has there been any talk of a multiplayer pack for mac or any other expansion pack? Also if so, would it come out soon or would we have to wait till after a civ 4, and when is civ 4 comiing out?

BTW, a year ago I'd never watched a single hockey game in my life. The man who will be, in 485 days, my father-in-law is rather a hockey nut. I kinda got marginally interested out of self-defense.

Like beamup, don't pay much attention to hockey; never really got a chance to get into it. But hey, still hear about the updates of the Bruins.

Some of you have probably already heard, but Brad Oliver ( "the" guy from Macsoft) was saying that it probably won't be too long :) , now that things seem to be in order over there at Macsoft, which has recently been bought by Destineer (think thats how you spell it).

i have to say that boston is pretty good with joe thorton and well the rangers....no comment. I play hockey for my High school and have palyed for a while.
