I have cleared almost everything but PTW and Civ3 from the computer. At one point it showed me having a suffivient amount of extra disk space, but said disk space has disappeared. I have added nothing, and the disk space hasn't gone to virtual memory.

Where is it? What have i done wrong?

Also, though it fits not, Is there any way to get around a firewall if one were trying to play PTW?

Delete all temporay internet files and the like.

Maybe its trying to write to a certian partition on a hard drive that is full

I installed Trillian on it, and after that it showed me as having more memory than before.

No, i am not looking at memory used btw.

May I see your exact specs?

Scandisk your computer.

There are errors that scandisk can repair that cause your computer to improperly report disk space remaining.

Do that and tell us what you find :)

Are you short of memory, or hard disk space?
Deleting files will do absolutely nothing for memory problems.

One thing to try would be to empty the recycle bin - if you have a dynamic one, then everything you have deleted has just been transferred to the bin, and no space will have been freed. :)
