View Full Version : Temporary Fix mod

This mod has the core major problems fixed within civ 5 for you in a really bare bones way. It's only meant to be played while you're waiting for the major balance mod of your choice to be fixed during a patch. Any time during a patch, I should have this one fixed within 24 hours, as it only takes 5 minutes to fix.

Note: The gold level is slightly off kilter, as I usually have city maintenance to offset it, but overall the experience should be much better than vanilla.

It is available on mod browser under the same name.

What's in it:

-Building maintenance is halved rounded down

-Building costs are 25% off

-Scientist slots are back on the library/paper maker, but scientists are nerfed (See below)

-Cities have 30 hp

-Long term unit Maintenance is reduced

-Great Person Terrain improvements are vastly increased (See civilopedia for details)

-Specialists are rebalanced:
-Scientists: 2 science, 2 GPP
-Merchants: 3 gold
-Artists: 2 culture

-The A.I. expands much more aggressively, and it actually builds units to defend itself

-Since I can't do alpaca's city maintenance, I am putting in thalassicuss' Anti-ICS: 3 city unhappiness, .8 per population, +2 starting happy

-Tech costs gradually increase

Thanks Slowpoke. I have been using CCMAT to improve game play. Is there anyway you could put a DL link here, because the MOD browser doesn't work for me. Thx.

Not at the moment, sorry, got kicked off the main computer on account of hogging it :D in about 3 hours I'll have a zip file on the OP :)

Edit: And if someone can download it and do it for me, that'd be even better :D
