I think this is something you've to ask from the makers of the vB forum software...

Social groups aren't meant to be forums. They're for quick messages and a more chat like discussion.

I agree, it would be nice, but the vbtags work so you can quote what you're wanting to quote manually.

This is doable if the admins were willing, but I suspect they would probably not be.

There are tons of ways of making a free forum of your own if you really want one. Why need it to be here?
