I'd like you to set some quantifiable goals for this term and post them in the opening post so that we can evaluate our progress as the term progresses.

For example... How many luxuries should we have connected by the end of the term? What long-term, enduring trade deals should we have established by the end of the term? ...and so on...

I appreciate your attention to this matter.

We have recently gained almost 100gpt in income! And just in time, too. The Gem Mining Company was started just in time for the war, and we'll have enough to put up our defenses to upgrade muskets. We will try to gain more war funds for our defense, then to turn loose against the Indians. Analysis: While India does have 3 luxuries to fight war wariness, they have 2 iron sources connected! The good news is, they have no saltpeter, so we won't be facing muskets unless they're trading for them.

India is trading with the following nations:

Russia, Iroquois, Chinese

Babylon has only 1 saltpeter resource, and most likely isn't trading it.
Iroquois has 1 saltpeter, but is not connected, they can't trade it.
China has 2 salpeter! They have one harbor safely in their southern city of Xinjiang, but are not connected to India by roads.


We currently have only 1 fur, and it's being exported! We MUST do a happiness check so our cities don't riot!

Fortunately, it was our only deal. None of our trade deals were affected, however, one city is in DIRE danger!

Dapperdan - This city gets captured, and our 2 resevred gems are in danger. As of now, a spear and a sword threaten it. A stack of 9 (antiquity) units will be there in 1 turn. They are on our iron, but we have 4 iron in reserve.

As there may be a turn chat early in the term (ie. Saturday or Sunday), I would like to suggest that the current officials carry out their responsibilities in preparation for that potential turn chat.

Recent conquests, *cough* liberations, of Indian and Babylonian cities have provided us access to additional resources and luxuries. Also, there are new technologies floating around as well. Please post the appropriate discussions/polls on the sale/trade/purchase of these items so that the transition to the next administration is done smoothly.
