First it was the Expos in Baseball who couldnt come up with the money, now the Ottawa Senators of the NHL, have not accumulated enough dough to pay their players. By a set date (Jan. 14th i think), the team will be all free agents if not paid by the orginization.

As a Boston Bruins fan, this is great because Ottawa was good, was in front of the B's and had some great players.

Lets see, i'll take Wade Redden (defenseman), Hossa (best forward on team IMHO) and Havlat (great rookie).

The Diamondbacks had this happen last season, getting a loan right before they defaulted.

I think there are just too many teams in pro sports now, some of them just don't make money.

Unless you like Ottawa's team this is really good for every other team, however not good for the sport in general. If they don't meet the payroll then i would definitely grap Wade Redden Hossa (he had 4 goals last night) and Lalime, and possibly the young Havlat. What is amazing to me is that Ottawa is first in the conference.

You guys are forgetting about Daniel Alfredsson!
G - 13
A - 27
Pts - 40

And he's the Captain I think.

I'll take rock solid stay-at-home d-man Chris Phillips. Also I wouldn't mind Arvedson or Lalime or Chara or Rachunek!
