Ohio State kicked some serious booty last night, but it still took some flukeyness for them to win.

The 4th and 14 call in the first overtime was great.

The 4th-down pass interference call was BS because the ball was tipped at the line of scrimmage.

Ken Dorsey -was- hurt on the last drive in the second overtime, too. It showed on the 3rd-down pass.

But give credit to Ohio State's coaching staff -- and to John Cooper, who recruited 2/3rds of those guys. I wonder if they'll give him a National Championship ring?

UF, F$U and scUM all lost in bowl games.. what is the world coming to??? ;)

Well, at least Miami lost. That I am happy for.

They lost because of a complete B.S. call, but I'm still happy because it came at their expense.

It was one of the greatest games I have seen in a long time, and this is good.

But it proved one thing: Miami was MASSIVELY OVERRATED. It finally exposed the weak a$$ed schedule that they always play. Miami reminds me alot of Nebraska and Oklahoma in the Big 8 years, beating the hell out of everybody, getting bunches of accolades, and then getting exposed by better teams in better conferences.

BUT...

Anyone who says Ohio St. is the best team in the country is an idiot.

That's right, an idiot. If you look at their strength of schedule and the number of games that they barely won it's pretty easy to see that they were fortunate to play in a pathetic conference, with an atrocious out of conference schedule.

But they did win all of their games, which makes them national champs. Winners they might be, but the best they definitely are NOT.

At least it isn't the Hurricanes though, which still makes me happy. :)

Wholehearted agree about being glad Miami lost. Gotta give the deal their due though. They're a great team. Their schedule wasn't that weak. They did beat Florida, Florida State, Virginia Tech, and Pittsburgh.

Who do you consider to be the best team in the nation? I would say either Georgia or USC personally.

How do you figure that Miami deserves ANYTHING close to due?

Florida-Florida St.-Tennesee all lost their bowl games. Badly lost them by a combined 48 points in three games, with the closest margin being eight.

Virginia Tech BARELY beat an Air Force team that didn't even deserve to be in a bowl game.

Pittsburgh was the only team that Miami played that was any good all year.

USC had the toughest schedule in the nation, and peaked at the right time, but too late. They are probably better than anyone else at this point, followed closely by Oklahoma and Georgia. Ohio St. and Miami would round out the bottom of the top 5 in my books.

But the title goes to the team that wins all of their games. But I won't sit by while some poor misguided soul says that the Big 10 is a superior conference only because one of their mediocre teams finally managed to win all of it's games against it's mediocre competition.

Well... one of your ranked Big 12 teams lost to an unranked Wisconsin in a Bowl game... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA talk about a pathetic conference... one of your elite teams died to one of our sisters of the poor... kind of sums it up nicely doesn't it. ;)

The Big 10 is nowhere near as strong as the SEC and the Big 12.

Not bothering to do the research, but did any other Big 10 team lose besides my beloved Penn State(ZZZZZzzzzZZZzzzz)? I don't think so, please correct me if I am wrong.

And talk of Blind Hatred, boy was I glad to see all 3 Florida teams lose.

Thanks archer, I didnt get the memo... or was napping at the time(oh the holiday cheer)

Some thought that Iowa was better than Ohio St. regardless, 7 teams from that lil conference in the rust belt go to bowls. hmmmm.

Ya noticed how the Small 12 fans stopped their crowing...
The Bowl season kind of stuck a sock in them. I haven't yet heard them explain how one of the "crappy" unranked Big Ten Teams could have beat one of their elite ranked Small 12 teams...
Just proof that the Small 12 sucked this year.
