I've created a +3 trainer for Civ3 V1.21f & V1.29f and Civ3PtW all versions (+4 for PtW-V1.27f)
and also Civ3Conquest V1.00-V1.22
now with Civ3Gold-support (+3) and a multilanguage-interface
now with Civ3Complete-support (+8)

for latest C3C-versions (V1.20 and V1.22) it's a +9 trainer

You can add 50.000 gold (5.000 gold since C3C V1.12b), complete science and +/- one game turn.
since C3C V1.20: add 1000, 10000 or 50000 gold, complete science, +/- one game turn, set money-value to cities or units on map, always hurry with gold

The trainer also support other games. You can get a list of these and a setup program (1303kb) resp. an update-version (~353kb) from the MTXL-page -> www.ccj39.com (http://www.ccj39.com/mtxl.php).

Probably not, since it Cyberman's crashes when used with PTW 1.14f (not compatible last time I looked).

If the trainer should support more versions of Civ3 or Civ3PtW please tell me them. I know the adresses for any version, but I've only added the latest gameversions, because it need much time to insert all versions.

You should have downloaded the updated version of his trainer... he has already updated his site with one that is compatiable with all CIv 3 and PTW version... including PTW 1.21f

the new version (1.0.0.7) supports now Civ3PtW 1.27f

I've attached the small file (60kb), which you can use if you already have installed the MTXl in earlier version, else you have to download the setup or full-setup version from my homepage (1,2MB or 4,6MB)

C3C: I think I can update it in a few days, I only have to test the addresses a second time and then program and test the update

Civ3Gold: I don't own this version, so I cannot write a trainer to it, if anyone want to help in programming a compatible version, please PM me (I tell you how to find 2 of the 5 addresses, I can calculate the rest; after you send me the 2 add. I make a small beta-version of my trainer and you can test if it works)

as a result of different results with testing the Civ3Gold-support, I only added the support of Civ3Conquests to version 1.0.0.8

I don't tested it with V1.02, but this version should only change some res.-files and not the civ3conquests.exe, so it should work, just try and post the result ;) :D

yes I want to add some functions, at the moment I try to add the possibility to build more than 512cities and more than 4096units, but the main problem is, that my knowledge in C++ isn't good enough to program my trainer in the way, that you can enable and disable this feature during game and/or use other cheats during the new feature is enable :rolleyes:

but I'm sure I can't compete with Powerbar

it's not exactly a game, it's a GREAT mod, the second mod of the GlobalDomination series ;)

it's a mod which is nearly a 3rd addon, complete new graphics, complete new techtrees, complete new units (all MF)
the time is 2nd WW, so it starts 1933 and ends 1945 (the timescale of the 4 ages), you can play it as Scenario or as Mod (start on random map)

the reason is, that we (Murkel and I) are searching for people with nice ideas and translation-abilities (later Betatester too), because the mod is mainly in german (but should also translated completly in english)
actual we need some ideas about buildings/wonders (also other things), look to my forum, there is already a thread where you can (as guest too) post ideas about, you also can pm me some ideas if you want ;)

as you are currently working on that (i hope you get a "geistesblitz" and get that done soon ;)) you could also change the amount of money you get if you use the money cheat 50k is a bit high (as well as the 100k from the other tool i know) - i would prefer seval "steps" like 100, 1000, 10000 and then maybe 50k and/or 100k

sorry, but clear pollution is much harder to realize than my actual planed additions, because it's to read out the dynamic part with it's structure of Civ3 and I don't know how to manage it in all cases in the right way, so if anyone can teach me in "how to do" I can add this (then with other Powerbar-features too), else I can't add this :(


BTW: maybe I can update my trainer to C3C-v1.12b up to Saturday

sorry, but that's same like "clear all polution", because it's also in dynamical part of Civ3-RAM and I don't know how to program a trainer working with this part correctly :(

so add a lot of money to your civ and buy all needed things every turn :D

i can mail you one with maximum cities (i hope so - korea destroyed 2 cities a few turns back) - but then your mailbox must be able to store at least 2MB + the additional space that is needed for the mail protocol or sth like that

CCJ39, i think the city limit is hardcoded. in one of the chats (was it the recent gamespy C3C chat?) a programmer mentionned why.
i think it had something to do with pathfinding or similiar.

anyway, they said it's hardcoded...

but if you want a max.-city/unit-savegame, look out for the "beyond sid" thread here at C3C. i'm not sure if he actually reached 512 cities (i doubt it), but he surely did reach the max. units. he said that only approx. every 5th produced unit actually existed.

as for the city limit: use the editor, create a scenario with 2 civs. give yourself ~510 cities and the AI 1-2 (you'll probably want to have enough land (eg. 240x240 for this :lol:).

hm, so I'll see if it's so hardcoded (another trainer with this functions already exists) :confused:
at the moment I see 2 different ways the city/unit could work, but have no map/scenario/save to test it and creating such needs lot of time, which I can use to other important things ;D
so if anyone owns one I can spare creating it

its ~1600k large - on a very hughe earth map - so it might take a few mins to load if you load it ;)

(and i must say i hate the babylonians - even if they are not my neighbors [this time] they always are the beginning of world wars in my games ;))

at the moment I have to say no, maybe the Powerbar (actual not supporting C3C) is the only trainer that can hurry production, it's hard to program this feature and I really don't know how to manage it in a trainer (currently I'm only able to hurry production of a city I want with development tools)

thats not totally true ccj39 - i dunno powerbar cause i didn't used it before and in c3c it does not work as you said, so i only saw the GUI of it - but there is another +3 trainer who can do that:

The money option works fine for me. Hurrying production and instant research do not. Has anyone else encountered the same thing?

the 10000 gold increase and 1-turn research functions work fine, but the hurry production function has never worked for me, both on the new and old version...


last time I tested it as a result of this comments the hurry function don't worked to me too


now it's not the time to say anything about citylimit and my trainer :scan:

i still use 1.00 and probablywill only upgrade ti a new full patch - so i can still stick with that trainer - i need the hurry improvement thingie and if i need a tech rush i have your MTXL :)

problem is that I not own Civ3Gold, so I can't test the trainer with it, so I tried to get the needed address-information with 2 other people, who owns it

first person: was sending me some addresses, I programmed it as a beta-version and was sending the file to him, but never get an answer of him after this :(
second person: says trainer don't works with the beta-content, but works fine as normal version to him :confused:

so I don't know what I should do now

Why not do the simple thing then. Go out and buy the gold edition? The only reason I own it, is because I lost my original Civ 3 disk.

why should I buy it? I own Civ3-US, Civ3PtW-Euro, C3C-Euro so I don't need Civ3Gold
I'm not buying a game only to make a trainer to some people
if I own a game I try to create a trainer, not in the opposite way :o

thanks, I know your sourcecode, but not the way of programming in C++ like you
does you tried to update to C3C? I think unit-limit is bigger than 4096 now, because someone sends me a savegame with exactly 512cities and more than 7000units (and no problem to build more)
both ways I've tried to "say C3C actual number of cities is less than 512" doesn't work in C3C, maybe they've changed something :confused:

I downloaded it and it works, somewhat. When I try the gold one for kicks it turns my gold amount in to a negative, -2400 gold, and my gold per turn goes to 0 for a while. Other then that everything works like it is supposed to. So I like it. :goodjob: I can live with out the instant gold, the instant tech more then makes up for it.

hm, I know about some problems with Win98/98SE/ME as OS (it only works in 50% of the cases)

does you've tried other trainer work fine?

here are some points you can try, maybe one of them can fix the problem

1. does you run original .exe-file? maybe it don't work to cracks or loader (also use original CD and not drive-image-software)
2. try to move mouse to corners or enter advisor, so civ3 will refresh the screen after activating a cheat (some versions don't refresh automaticaly)
3. maybe another program blocks the shortcuts, try to close all other programs using taskmanager (CTRL+ALT+DEL)
4. enter this command to msdos-prompt (h=hour, m=minute, to start MTXL at this time, so it will inserted in another way to the system if the OS blocks the trainer): at hh:mm /interactive {Path to megatrainerxl.exe}\megatrainerxl.exe

I have tried a few of those things, I am using original cd, from the cd rom. Taskbar is virtually empty. Since me doesn't have ms-dos, can't try the last one. Oh well, other trainers for other games work fine.

hm.. with msdos-prompt I mean the following (don't know how is called in english OS, maybe other one knows and can correct me if I'm wrong)
press "CTRL+DEL" and click on "run"... enter the "command" and press enter, now you can enter the "at hh:mm /interactive...." in this window (maybe it also works if you enter it directly to the "run-menu"

Not sure that would work in ME, I know it would work in win98..but do I really want to reformat and reinstall win98..would have to back up my hdd...and no gurantee it would work... I'll wait and see what happens, I'll keep trying other ways to get your trainer to work:{ Thanks for your input

Installed the latest version that is supposed to be compatible with win XP, i have the latest civ patch 1.15b installed. I installed the MXTL trainer--> i try to use it for all the functions and it tells me i'm missing a file-->mega trainer XL.HLP file??? any ideas as to where i can find this? i tried uninstalling and re-installing this trainer quitea few times, also put this trainer in it's own file within Conquests folder.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks for the quick response CCJ39, this was an old thread but took a stab anyhow. By the way nice trainer, never seen 1 with so many games in it. I tried all 3 versions of the trainer starting with the full setup and worked my way down 2 the 3rd 1.

Been to your sites also, my problem is i cannot read alot of german, so i'm at a disadvantage in reading your forums, i probably could have found someone that had the same problem and seen how they rectified it without posting. I like to search first and ask questions later so i don't burn someone else bandwith up.

in the last days I've tried to reproduce your error on several systems but no way, I also checked the full sourcecode and can't find any position requesting a .hlp-file, because there's no .hlp-file in any of my MTXL-versions any it works fine for most people

does you've tried to close all other applications befor running MTXL? it sounds like another program is interpreting the shortcut as help-shortcut

I'll discuss with another programmer in the next days, maybe he knows a solution or I've to add such .hlp-file, but I'm not sure if the shortcut will popup the help without writing in memory then :confused:

I'm running XP Pro--> this still comes up occasionally->mega trainer XL.HLP file using ALT+F1--> easy to live with. The alt+f1 function works, alt+f2 works but alt+3 and 4 does not work right now, trying to figure it out, I installed the full version right in the conquest directory to get this to work, so far 50%.

I'm using XP Pro too, without problems ;D

the F1 and F2-function mostly present their result immediately, but F3/F4 needs a short moment for refresh, I think best time is at end of turn, press several times Alt+F3 and scroll after this a little bit, the game year should be changed

but I'll update MTXL for C3C-1.20f in the next days, maybe this works better for you ;)

i just downloaded this and when i try to ru it it says-this application has failed to start because MFC71.DLL was not found.

i just downloaded latest patch for civ3 conquests also

Very nice CCJ, haven't tried the newest version for the 1.22 patch, but took your advice bout letting it update at end of turn for function Alt=3 and 4 and it worked for windows XP civ3 conquest 1.15b. Thank you very nice work.

I'm getting this error as well. I'm fairly computer illiterate so this may hamper my efforts a bit :P. I tried that wininstaller and whatever else is on your website you set up with it and none of it seems to work. The setup takes me to some MSN website where it is ambiguous what I'm suppose to download and so I downloaded some kind of service pack and nothing happened. The other couple apps or whatever give me a wrong OS response. Any help would be appreciated.

your problem isn't the missing mfc71.dll, which the setup will install, if you're able to run it

the problem is, that I cannot create a setup with my new c++-version which don't needs the ".Net Framework SDK" to execute the setup, look to the news on my site and follow the link to MTXL-subforum, there is a post for this ->BUG with a link to a 100MB and a 25MB ".Net Framework", I've tested the first one on a seperat testing-PC and it works well, don't tested the second one, but it should work too

I think, I'm able to upload the next version of MTXL tomorrow with 2 different setup-ways then ;)

CCJ39 your program is really good and no complaints about the function and smoothness of the trainer. I didn't find any real bugs but perhaps the only problem is its lack of features. I know you have probably heard this a thousand times but you might want to check out a older verison of Powerbar. It's not so much the tools that Pb offers but it is the little things like the list of your rivals and a list and number of all the cities on the map that really make it great and that is why I think that so many people enjoy it so much. I used Pb and your trainer and I don't really use all the tool that Pb has to offer and in the past versions not to many of them work very well :) so I didn't find your traniner lacking in that department so much. But like I said the counters and yes some of the main features such as the ability to change your enemys money and Stance. ( If you used it you will understand)

BTW I really love the fact that you can use your trainer with so many other games.

the problem is my trainer is designed to allow you to cheat in many games with a few useful cheats and not support one game in all ways liek powerbar, so only to add the function to add gold and complete research I need 2 more shortcuts for each player, if I should at a support for all possible 32players, I have to add 64 new shortcuts and I think it's not useful and makes the trainer much intricate, so I'll support more games with a few cheats instead ;)

today the 3rd active member joined the team, so I think you will love the next version of MTXL with many new supported games (take a look to my development-forum for MTXL ;) to get a first info about new games and functions)

one big change is the setup, there is now only one setup and one update-setup, the language you choose in setup will be the language you see the MTXL, but you can change it by choose another language installing an update

a second big change is the "Start"-button which allows you to start the game directly now (not only if trainer is in game-directory)

it's no problem to release next version this month, but I don't know the exact weekend at the moment, because I need some registry-entries for older games, which I don't own today, to support them also with the "Start"-button, if someone owns "AlphaCentauri"/"Civ2"/"Civ3Gold"/"NfS7-Underground"/"RollerCoasterTycoon2"/"SoftwareTycoon" please PM me

you choose the interface-language of the MTXL with the choose of the setup-language (so no Mutli-Language-Interface anymore, only one language is visible)

I'm not sure, but it seems the game don't uses the city-count offsets, but look the offsets of the last city or something like that and if the last city in memory is at a special offset, the game knows "city-limit is reached"
but that's only an idea how game is checking, because it's useless to change the city-count offsets :(

after receiving so many emails, I think I should add the standard-answer to this topic now

I know that there are problems with Civ3Complete/Civ3Deluxe, but I'm unable
to create a working trainer for this version, because I only own the normal
Conquests and not the one from Civ3Complete
it was the same problem with Civ3Gold (Civ3+PtW)...


the reg-entry is the smallest problem, the main-problem is, that I don't know the offsets of this version (the positions I need to write in memory)
so if you think you could help me, I'll send you a small tutorial how to get 2 of the offsets (I'm able to calculate the others then) on Monday or Tuesday

after a few new tests, I think it's possible to disable the 512 city-limit in C3C-V1.22 ...
unfortunately I've no savegame with maximum amount of cities, so I'm glad if somebody can eMail me such savegame
(first tests with a +380city-savegame were successful, so the game doesn't think more cities were build until I settled down 15 new ones)

I'm also looking for some beta-tester for a first beta-release of a new MTXL-version including "unlimited movement", "auto fill city foodbox" and may "disable city-limit"


so hope some kindly players still alive and would help :beer:

I tried running it for CIv 3 Complete and it said it couldnt find the installation path. I tried putting it in the Civ 3 Complete folder but the same thing happened.
What should I do?

sorry, but in some tries long time ago, I was getting some major bugs, if I build more cities than the city-limit allows... also in foresight of Civ4, I don't like to spend much more time to Civ3 (maybe one last feature, like complete all city-production, same as the already included complete all foodboxes)

if you get such message, if only means, that your registry-entry doesn't exists or isn't valid (mostly a result of unofficial game-copies or special computer-magazin-versions)... you don't need to run the game by the trainer, just run trainer, then the game manually and simply use the shortcuts

I'm talking about that there is no finish production cheat for Civilization 3: Complete, I can't use the conquest cheats on complete. I need that cheat on most game to complete all these wonders cause I cannot hurry them at all, It be nice if you gotten all the cheats codes you made and make them work for Civ 3 Complete. If you do this, i can no longer need to hurrying production over and over and over cause I got the auto fill production on... Please make all the codes from Civ 3: Conquest cheat codes you made and make them work for Civ 3: Complete, I need these just to prevent myself form quitting the game cause of too much **** going on and can't fully colonize the place if an enemy that is too powerful colonize my discovered continent...

Short cuts in the trainer it'self maybe?? Like ALT F2 to "hurry" research, ALT F10 for unlimited movement (ALL PLAYERS INCLUDING COMPUTER

Those short cuts?
