But why would there be a mostly dead mafia? However, if a mafia gets it, we will notice it as he surely would keep it without any using to prevent revivals.

Well currently we seem to have a 1-1-1-etc... tie on all items if that, so if anyone intends to do something about that they should. If it could be used to heal I'd use the Rag tonight and I wouldn't do any harm with other items, but whatever works so long as there's not a tie or something equivalent that gives a way for bad guys to claim all these items.

Let's split the items up, so they don't end up in a mafias arms. I brought in everyone with claims.

He would be my guess for the eel though being Yellin isn't entirely ruled out. Sprig didn't do much to make it obvious anyone was his ally and if anyone was voting that way it'd be BSmith, but I don't think it's him. Classical just hasn't claimed anything Innocent and by process of elimination I'm not going with others of you, and know it's not me. Somebody had to have showed up and renewed their evil attempts at killing so it's just a guess.

Actually I can see the reasoning that classical put forward in that he's right that both his and Duke Blackstone's abilities don't seem to add up, but neither does the part about link's ability really seem to add up to him being scum. I watched BSmith. He killed some poor innocent man last night. My result didn't say whether he killed Earthling or classical, but he's either the Eel or Yellin, and either way, he needs to die.

Well, its the only lead we have. 3 on 1 on 1, assuming the Eel is a serial killer.

I want to bring everyone’s attention to Nightbringer. I have been doing some research through the thread and have found some interesting voting patterns. A pattern that is curious to say the least. Here are all of his votes by day:

But that could totally be a lie. I mean, its like the last turn. If I was mafia I would be touting my super secret super power to scan that I have been hiding all game. Of course, if I had one and I was innocent I would too. So theres a 60% chance of you being a good guy, 20 of mafia, and 20 of serial killer ness.

I got the bible yesterday. It's an item to convert people to Christianity, it's stated that it's for roleplay reasons. People will convert or not depending on their alignment and I chose to "convert" nightbringer, for which he rejected it totally. That could mean that he's evil.

However, choxorns camera seems like a better piece of evidence and I trust that what he says about bsmith is true.

I'm sorry about that. The reason for my general inactivity is that this game is the only thing I do on this website, leading me to come here less and check in on the game less. I have also felt very unsure who to vote for a lot of the time.

As to the game, I think the evidence against vote:BSSmith is too good to pass up. Even if it is wrong, we can then nail choxorn tomorrow.
I figure at this point there is no reason to lie about it. I am evil aligned, but I win with the town. My alignment was evil because I wanted to see humperdink dead, but for no other reason really. As he is gone, I am just an ordinary townie.

Hmm, well, I did a vote analysis on both of you guys, but didn't find much. The only thing I found was that on day 1 duke blackstone placed the second vote on double A. The leading vote number of day 1 was 3, so I think it unlikely mafia would have risked that.
Unfortunately that is all I could find, but I am going to bet the game based on it and say you, Love, are the last of the scum.

As to me, I say again, I brought Winston Hughes back. Why the $@^# would mafia bring him back. That would only cause them to lower their chances of winning. My story makes perfect sense, the only problem is that you refuse to see the logic. I have/ had a passive ability. I could hide when anyone would come for me. But after the first attack the killer would look for me more. But it's still possible for me to successfully hide once more.

You however, has been acting strange the whole game. You have voted minimally most of the game and when you did vote, you just jumped on bandwagons. You're also hoarding items.

As said. It's a passive ability that might work a second time, the mafia could get smart and try to find me. That is, I don't know if it works a second time as it hasn't been tried yet and isn't completely stated in the role pm. It's no backtracking, I've had claimed the exact same role all the time.

The expedition may as well end now. We were once a group of twenty-nine; now, we are only three. To be brutally honest, three people are simply not a sufficient number to justify continuing through with this adventure. However, even though we are now turning back -- leaving the bodies of the mostly dead behind, to ease the burden of the living -- we still have a chance to eliminate the final infiltrator. Hopefully we will succeed in this last task, despite our failures in all others...

Duke Blackstone turned to look over at Nightbringer. "Well, Love has helped us nail some of the bad guys. Knowing my own innocence, process of elimination leaves you as the last remaining scum."

The three men walked on some more, Love and Nightbringer going back and forth the whole time. When the sun started to set, Love and Duke Blackstone turned on Nightbringer.

"Your time has come. Prepare to die."

"NOOOO! Wait!" Nightbringer dug in his backpack for a few moments, than popped back up with the king's crown in his hand. "I have the crown, you can trust my decisions!"

Duke Blackstone and Love only laughed, kicking the crown out of Nightbringer's hands. Grinning, Love produced a knife from his clothes, stabbing Nightbringer several times in the chest. A puddle of blood now lay around Nightbringer's deceased body.

"Was he the bad guy?" Duke asked hesitantly.

After tearing Duke's body to shreds, Love finally answered the question.

Really I have to say it's a shame all the Innocent power roles got killed so early, I was pretty much right, all we had were the equivalent of near peasants left at the end. Though a lot of our lynches were questionable, Skooma and all should not have been lynched. Also a bit disappointed that I didn't manage to heal Winston. The Rag only gave a chance of healing and I died the night after I got it. And even though we got sprig and Bsmith both as killers it was all for naught...

But this was well played by the Mafia, Love in particular to the very end, good game. Especially with them losing a mafia to a serial killer at the very start - Love and sprig for a while did very well rolling with it.

Oh! Speaking of the rag, after civplayah improved it, an evil-aligned character had a 25% chance of successfully reviving someone, a neutral-aligned had a 35% chance, and a good-aligned player had a 50% chance.

Also, on the subject of balance, I felt it was pretty balanced for the most part. Out of the serial killers, mafia, and innocents, the innocents probably had the greatest chance at victory (especially after the N1 loss for the mafia), then the mafia, then the killers. Choxorn's role was overpowered to say the least, although he still played a great game.

After a night drinking with Love, you have decided it would be rather pointless to lynch him.

Yeah, it seemed quite balanced and pretty fun, especially between the Innocents/Mafia, I don't know how the game looked from the Sk perspective. I enjoyed it even though I only got in late and that's after so many major Innocents were gone. Buttercup lynched? :needfacepalmsmiley: Both Westley and the older dread pirate gone! :eek: And Inigo killing Miracle Max :rolleyes:

Yeah- I could simultaneously protect and roleblock, and learn something random about somebody. I didn't even have to care who I blocked or protected, being neutral. I managed to, over the course of the game, protect civplayah, Love, and Earthling. At first I thought I'd protected/roleblocked a hider, which I found to be hilarious. Nice work, Love, you had me fooled there. I also was the one who roleblocked Double A on Night 3 or 4, and after getting the scan result "he's very dangerous to your VC," I knew he had to be either Humperdinck or the RoUS, and just needed a way to lynch him.

The problem was, being a survivalist and having no way to PM people, I couldn't work with the mafia, so I had to work with the innocents while looking unimportant, or the killers would recognize me as a threat and kill me. Alternatively, I could publicly claim neutral, but then either way, someone's going to kill me at some point.

So, I had a ridiculously overpowered ability, although it was balanced out a bit by having to be very careful to avoid death. At the end, I still couldn't have avoided death, because Love decided to kill me. And I hoped that claiming limited night-kill immunity (sort of true) a bit earlier would make the mafia not want to kill me. :p

What would happen if a) I got the crown and b) if the crown was improved?

If only blackstone had read the thread again, I think I had made a pretty convincing case by th eend, I don't know though, what do you guys think.

I guess winning at my first game of Mafia as a SK was a bit too much to ask for, huh? But damn if I didn’t think I had a chance.

My roll got nerfed a little bit as well. I was originally immune to lynches entirely, but the day that choxorn scanned me is when it was changed to 1 lynch. Had I known of the change earlier I would probably have left Sprig in the game at least one more night to help reduce the number of living (I had fingered him as scum), but at the time I was focused on killing anyone who could kill me. My whole goal once my ability got changed became to delay my lynching by one day to give me time to be at the end. Didn’t work though. :(

Funny that I attacked Love, but he was protected that night it seems? I didn’t bother to go back and try again in case I failed again, and I certainly didn’t pick up on him being Yellin. It would have been interesting if the SKs killed ¾ of the mafia in this game.

One thing that surprised me was why no one questioned me destroying Inigo Montoya’s sword. I didn’t know what it could do (it was useless to me as I had no arms) but I figured it could be used to kill and I certainly didn’t want it to be stolen or have someone ask me what it was all about.

Oh, and one other thing:

I believe that out of two SK your role was more powerful than mine, even when you were not immune to lynches. I did not have similar ability, and killing through protection is less beneficial. Also, you have a little greater chance of surviving night attacks

Jippie I won! Fun game anyway. Not being able to communicate seemed to hit the innocents pretty big, but other stuff weighed the balance so it was a nail-biter anyway. Cool stuff.
