View Full Version : Proposal to modify borders of MAG and Southwest Provinces
Shaitan Jan 07, 2003, 03:51 AM This proposal is to modify the borders of Montis Abeo Gramen (MAG) Province and Southwest Province as shown in the graphic at the bottom of this post. This will move the mountains from the "panhandle" of the Southwest Province into MAG Province to join the large range that forms MAG's south/east borders.
This proposal has been discussed in the following locations:
Term 5 - Province of Montis Abeo Gramen (gov't thread) (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=40504)
Border Redrawing (discussion) (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=40588)

Poll particulars
This poll will remain open for a minimum of 48 hours. After 48 hours it will close when it meets the standard quorum of 15 participants.
Shaitan Jan 07, 2003, 04:17 AM YES
This proposal will move the 4 tile section of the Gem Mountains currently in the Southwest Province to Montis Abeo Gramen Province, where it will join the vast bulk of that mountain chain.
Veera Anlai Jan 07, 2003, 06:42 AM Something tells me there just *may* be ulterior motives here... Anyways, I voted no. I preferred the other two proposals better, even if they weren't as nicely drawn.
Shaitan Jan 07, 2003, 06:48 AM Nope, no ulterior motives. My motives are straight up and honest. I think goonie is correct about the mountains from Southwest being in MAG province. This proposal is correct and the best option and has been suggested in every discussion and poll about rebordering the three corners. Ideally, this proposal should have been presented as a choice with the other proposal (Proposal 1 / Proposal 2 / None). Unfortunately it will never be presented by the MAG government because the true objective of those proposals is to take Dapperdan, so I have presented it myself.
Goonie Jan 07, 2003, 07:18 AM A link to the proposal I have made.

Shaitan Jan 07, 2003, 08:03 AM Goonie, I already linked to that in the first post of this poll.
Chieftess Jan 07, 2003, 08:36 AM No - I liked the other proposal better.
Shaitan Jan 07, 2003, 08:40 AM Please judge this proposal on its own merits. It deals strictly with the 4 tiles of the Gem Mountains that are in the Southwest Province. Should these mountains be part of the MAB Province or not?
donsig Jan 07, 2003, 09:10 AM I'm voting yes to this proposal.
Cyc Jan 07, 2003, 11:42 AM Goonie is actually Yoda? :) I voted YES. This proposal makes the most sense. Therfore, I can see why it might not pass.
Eklektikos Jan 07, 2003, 12:11 PM I voted yes to this also. I can see no good reason for Dapperdan to be transferred to MAG, and feel that this proposal is more faithful to the principles by which we define our provinces than is the current situation or any of the other proposals that have been bandied about so far.

Well, he's not in the Jedi Council. The wording is Yoda like though.
I vote yes, but I think the town should be in the MAG province as well.
Shaitan Jan 08, 2003, 10:51 AM We've made quorum. This poll will close when it's hits 48 hours of run time.

OMAL I am.....Vote YES I did ;)
Goonie Jan 08, 2003, 04:34 PM NO!
Gingerbread Man Jan 25, 2003, 04:48 AM The proposal is agreeable. I also agree that dapperdan belongs in MAG *IF* the governor of Dapp's province agreed. If he/she did, I would agree with giving Dapp to MAG.
If He/she didn't, well, that makes it alot more difficult.
Who is the gov of that province anyway?
Goonie Jan 25, 2003, 09:23 AM Gingerbread man, I proposed that a while ago and it shot down like everything I propose! ;)
