Well, SC, I always use an image processing soft (even the basic Ms Photo Editor is fine) to resize the pic, and I usually save it under a jpeg with 50-70% quality. That should be good.
Sometimes (not often, though) gif format is even smaller than jpeg!!

They don't work becuase of Geocities. I don't know exactly why, but whenever someone uses a geocities account for pics the forum can't load them up. Instead you have to link to them using a HTTP address.

Scorch, the easiest way I found was you go to the webpage with the pic you want. Right click the pic an select properties. Then highlight and copy the page url. Come to this thread and reply, click the little button above where you write your message that says "insert image". Paste the url.

Please don't do that. You are using someone elses website to host pictures you are trying to show then and it is considered rude. Save the picture, if it is allowed and not copyrighted, to a free space server or pay for some server space yourself.
