View Full Version : Undead of Fanatika Organization (UFO)
disorganizer Jan 13, 2003, 03:46 AM The "undeads and 'creatures' of fanatika organization (UFO)" is citizen group to organize and enlarge the community of undead and in other ways handicaped persons which are called monsters by the others (to be further referred to as 'creatures') in fanatika.
We will not accept membership of any normal human living being in this group!
Targets
1) improove the rights for free evolvement of their own cultural pecularities without any supression by the living beings
2) increase our community in any appropriate way
3) protect our members from insults of the living beings
How to become a member
Eligable for membership are any undead or 'creatures', like for example vampires, werevolves and zombies.
If you are not undead but still want to be a member, you will have to be turned into a undead or 'creature' first. See below.
How to become an undead or a 'creature'
Look into our member registry. There you see a listing of all undeads and 'creatures' and the type of undead or 'creature' which they are. Choose the type of undead or 'creature' you want to be and contact a member of that species.
The member you contacted will then pm you with how he turns you into an undead (for example by biting you) or 'creature' and states that action in this thread.
If you do not reach a member or dont get a response or want to be a species not mentioned in the member list, feel free to contact the leader of the group on details. He will then arrange things for you.

Shaitan Jan 13, 2003, 06:26 AM Werewolves aren't undead. They are mortals inflicted with the disease of lycanthropy. Maybe "horrors" or "monsters" would describe your group better.
:p
Veera Anlai Jan 13, 2003, 06:45 AM I have but one thing to say...
disorganizer Jan 13, 2003, 06:50 AM @shaitan: changed... we now also organize 'creatures'...
@veera: what?
Shaitan Jan 13, 2003, 08:29 AM Shouldn't it be "UCFO" then?
disorganizer Jan 13, 2003, 08:35 AM propably, but UFO sounds better. see the 'U' as "undead and creatures" ;-)
btw: did you know that werewolves which die become vampires? and also that people biten by werewolves turn to vampires? i now find that i must read into this much better... what happens to a horse being biten by a vampire? does it turn into a vamse? or into a horsire?
Shaitan Jan 13, 2003, 08:44 AM There are many different legends about vampyre and lycanthrope. Some are mixed up like you describe but the vast majority hold lycanthrope and vamp to be the greatest of enemies.
disorganizer Jan 13, 2003, 09:04 AM well, we will change that for fanatika... creatures unite i say!
Veera Anlai Jan 13, 2003, 04:53 PM Since when did the Fanatikan RP have magic and monsters? I thought this was a realistic RP that followed the path of the Civilization game?
Grandmaster Jan 13, 2003, 05:04 PM My thoughts exactly Veera..... and I thought the Religions thread was getting off track when it started sounding like LOTR.....
CivGeneral Jan 13, 2003, 05:06 PM Same here Grandmaster and Veera :).
Ehecatl Atzin Jan 13, 2003, 05:11 PM well, just in the defense of magic, this is also part of an rp game, especially Civilization, that's what mysticism, polytheism and monotheism is for. Magic, religion..it's all there, only with the advent of "modernity" has magic and ritual been demed non sense.

McNulty Jan 13, 2003, 05:40 PM My thoughts exactly Veera..... and I thought the Religions thread was getting off track when it started sounding like LOTR.....
Oh, I don't think so really, Grandmaster. You have to remember that I am playing a character, and that character has to reflect his times (900AD). This time was known as the Dark Ages, when superstition and belief in the more fantastic was common. Why can't we have belief in supernatural spirits at this stage of our civilization?
Veera Anlai Jan 13, 2003, 05:57 PM So, that means Dis' kindred will be denounced as harmless loonies that go around biting people's necks by all of us 'modern' Fanatikans? Sounds fine to me then ;-)
Grandmaster Jan 13, 2003, 06:06 PM McNulty: There's nothing wrong with us believing in Spirits and superstition at this point (I wouldn't have become a Spiritualist if I was against the concept, now, would I?) but to have vampires running around capturing castles is above and beyond. Its not a belief; he's stating a series of events involving living, breathing Vampires. If that's the way he wants to play, fine, but I don't think thats what this particular RPG was supposed to be about. Also, let it be known that Lancre will not tolerate these creatures on our property, and troops have been sent to disperse them and destroy their stronghold.
Plexus Jan 13, 2003, 06:48 PM Sir Disorganizer, I fear thou art drunk, thou and thy staff. I shall be over presently, to make sure thou art not losing thy mind over the sadness thou must be feeling from the death of thy men. But really, sir, a man of thy stature should not be drowning thy sorrow in spirits.
Duke Plexus of Zimt
Octavian X Jan 13, 2003, 07:02 PM Though I do believe that some doughnuts posses supernatural powers, I don't think I'm undead (yet).

Its true, Octavian's Doughnuts are responsible for some of the Netsplits
disorganizer Jan 14, 2003, 04:20 AM @all:
the rpg is meant for roleplay... of any kind... since when did the death of shaitan follow the game? or the travel to the enlish lands? or any other part of the rpg... so everything is possible in the rpg, because as you surely read through it is SEPERATE from the demogame :-)
as the rpg issues do not interfere with the demogame, the question is why should not the rpg have its own parts? and as mcnulty said, we are in the middle ages. this allows us to roleplay things which people believed then... at least thats better than having big companies selling their items across our country without any cost... or stock markets... or other things... or people opting out of conflicts...
and also:
i took ownership of this castle... yes... but not the land (yu hopefully noticed) also no people which were not willing to join were forced to... as such this is a fully legitimate task inside the rpg which i will definitely continue to roleplay until at least 1800AD... or until some special event prevents me from doing so... if we stop all non-game roleplay, then the rpg is dead... or would it then still be interiesting?
in another thread, it was asked how the rpg can be fun again... maybe this (roleplaying things) is how. and allowing things which are "different". as you notice surely these events here do not interfere with any other things except other roleplay threads.
@grandmaster:
try to get us out... you can destroy the castle... but you wont be able to defend us... or do you want to kill every wolve, every bat and open every grave? we will surely be defending ourselves, so all people coming to tsort to fight us will soon know to fear us also.
but we have no bad intents, nor do we want to "invade" the lands... these are parts of a bad propaganda against us, which we can not tolerate. only because we are different, we also are able to fit into our space of civilization.
TSort is the birthplace of our community... and as such we will defend our home till the end of times (and i mean this exactly! how i wrote it).
As our friends the spiritualists, which reside at TSort at the moment as our guests, can surely agree on, we ARE friendly to our guests...
Who does spread this propaganda against us? It is the people who fear the unknown... open your mind to allow the unecpected!
Veera Anlai Jan 14, 2003, 06:38 AM I still say it's ridiculous. I'm not going to support any magical/supernatural elements in this RP, and I'm going to ignore any more posts made about them. This is supposed to be realistic, not fantastic.
Sheesh... It's be like introducing Vampires into the Julius Caesar play
disorganizer Jan 14, 2003, 06:57 AM @veera:
no. it aught to be FUN.
and what is realistic in the rpg? most of the things we use daily are definitely not. so its up to you to ignore the posts if you like, nobody forces you to read or post them... and as this part is only in a small fraction of the rpg, that would be pretty easy to do for you.

Is that an invitation?
:D
Say Dis, wasn't Tsort rebuild as the Temple?
disorganizer Jan 14, 2003, 08:13 AM It was just changed a bit, the base defense is still there... also we are at the moment rebuilding the walls... as such every day is increasing the defensive structures of TSort.
And yes, of course you can come to us in PEACE at any time :-)
If you choose the other way... may some upper deity be with you...
Shabbaman Jan 14, 2003, 08:18 AM Now, it's a bit of a pity if I would come to throw you out and have to demolish the earthworks that I build with my own sweat and tears!
So, let's not go that way...
disorganizer Jan 14, 2003, 08:21 AM But im sorry, my friend, i will have to enforce you to leave your weaponry (not armor) at the base of the mountain. Just in case.
Then enter the castle through the white gate and the gatehouse and enter the hall where the spiritualists and a meal will await you. The bedroom will take a short time to be prepared though, as you arrival was not announced to us early enough... (see map in post#2 for location of rooms).
Grandmaster Jan 14, 2003, 04:35 PM OK, I'm going to ask you all to ignore my previous posts and just listen to the way I'm phrasing my opinion in this one (the others were under the influence of extreme exam nervousness, and might have been faultilly worded.)
Dis, I have no problem with you RPing the whole vampire thing. Go ahead. Have fun. I'm glad to see more people doing more RP now. However, as CinC Lancre, its my job to keep foreigners off our soil. And you vampires are definitely, by all descriptions, foreigners, and and potentially hostile ones at that. Therefore, if you're going to roleplay, I'm going to roleplay back at you. You say you've inhabited the castle, I'm going to do my RP job and RP destroying the castle. So thats my stance: roleplay however much you want, and I'll respond appropriately. After a night of thinking about it, I realize it makes sense to have people in the Middle Ages believe in monsters. However, it also makes sense for soldiers to hunt them down and kill them. So that's what I've done.
Veera Anlai Jan 14, 2003, 05:47 PM It makes sense for people to believe in monsters, but it doesn't make sense for those creatures to exist. The Greeks believed in Satyrs and Centaurs, but they didn't exist. There's a big difference between imagination and reality.
If you want to pretend to be a vampire and bite people's necks in a realistic RP, go right ahead, but don't be surprised if people ignore you and your posts, or don't take you seriously. At best, if people recognize your character, they should treat him as a looney who deserves to be locked up as 'A Danger to Himself and Others.' It ain't discrimination against being undead; it's discrimination against a terrible idea in a well populated RPG.
disorganizer Jan 15, 2003, 01:47 AM @veera:
for the greeks, those existed.
as for the medieval europeans, dragons, witches, magicians, dwarfs, golems, gnolls, vampires, etc. existed. if you would have asked anyone then, they would have given you 'evidence' for the existance of them and all people denying their existance would propably have been burned... or people would have said: "yeah. of course YOU as a witch/dwarf/... deny existance... *grin*"
as i said, nobody forces you to go with it... and it is not interfering with the rest of the rpg. there are much more disturbing things at the rpg which are more unrealistic than this here...
to realism of this topic:
think in the ways the fanatikans would think in the age we are in at the game... you take this rpg-part in a modern world thinking way... which also is unrealistic, as we are in the middle ages now and thinking was different then.
@grandmaster:
i am though confused about the said things, sir grandmaster. first you approach in agression, then you want to join the peaceful meeting with the spiritualists here at the castle. and no, the vampires are not foreigners, maybe a new cultural moovement, but not foreigners. and no, we are not per definition agressive. we are (at least nowadays) well in controll of some bad habits.

Oh, I wasn't really planning on staying the night. I just wanted to introduce my girlfriend, Buffy, and her best friend, Mr. Pointy Stick...
:D
disorganizer Jan 15, 2003, 04:42 AM @shabba:
so you are also coming, sir shabbaman? please ensure all pointy things are left beneath the mountain...
Grandmaster Jan 15, 2003, 06:58 AM Dis: When did I say I wanted to join the meeting with the other Spiritualists?
And also, you are not foreign as in being from England or India, but rather in that you are not Lancrans, and will therefore be construed as a threat to Lancran secutrity.

I don't know for sure, but it is possible that I might drop by, since I have to supervise some trench digging activities in the areas surrounding Castle Tsort.
But, as I mentioned before, I'm sure you'll enjoy meeting Buffy and her friend!

Did not the ghost of Caesar play a rather prominent role in said play? :mischief:
disorganizer Jan 15, 2003, 08:57 AM @shabba: you will be surprised about our underground fortifications. i can give you a tour if you like
@grandmaster: you said you come... so i assumed you also want to meet them.
and on being lancreans: who were the first lancreans? not you. so do not talk in such tone about the founding fathers of lancre... instead read the history of the principality. in fact if i am not at home at lancre, who is?
Grandmaster Jan 15, 2003, 02:27 PM I realize that you were founder of Lancre. But your vampire friends are not. You are your own group. And I may not be a founder, but I am current military leader, and as such I am forced to carry out the orders of my current prince. And Prince Padma has ordered me to launch the attack. Orders must be followed at all times, or else all discipline breaks down.

disorganizer Jan 26, 2003, 08:11 AM propably. there is a disease spreading among our mail pigeons... they suddenly refuse to fly in the daylight, turn a bit pale and grow sharp teeth... we will have to investigate :-)
but our gates are open to all people who would like to visit us
Zarn Jan 26, 2003, 08:32 AM Dis, this is an outrage. Consider yourself an enemy of the Council. I will have none of this in Fanatika. The undead and 'creatues' are unrightous. The Council declares war upon you!!!
Have a nice day.

Hmmmm...most unatural..or completely natural (depending on how you look at it! ;) ) Perhaps I will visit your fine lands one of these days, tell me, what kind of life does one expect to live in your castle?

McNulty Feb 07, 2003, 02:10 PM EA, you are a little behind with current events. The Castle was completely destroyed just prior to the total defeat of the forces of Disorganizer. He later redeemed himself and is now in the Marillion in Vanir.
